Transportation Drainage Engineer - Henderson, NV

As a Transportation Drainage Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. Working with other members of our team you will work on transportation, drainage and flood control projects.

During your time with us you will work on roadway and highway drainage for alignment studies, design concept reports, and final construction documents. Typical activities and products may include performing hydrologic and hydraulic computations, providing detailed calculations, construction plan preparation, drainage report preparation, specifications and estimates. Some hydrology and hydraulic models used for typical projects include HEC-RAS, HY8, HEC-HMS and others required to meet State and Federal requirements.

Under the mentorship of mid to senior level staff, you will have the opportunity to exercise judgment and make recommendations in the development and creation of transportation plans for complex, multi-disciplined projects. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a drainage and flood control focus

  • A minimum of 3-6 years experience working in hydrology and hydraulic calculations, roadway drainage design, flood-control and watershed modeling

  • Familiar with CAD design using Microstation
