Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level Roadway/Transportation Designer with experience in various design aspects such as roadway, traffic, intersection, water or sewer, storm water, structural, and fish passage. This role requires an independent designer who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them within set timelines. The Transportation Engineer will create engineering designs for local, state, and federal highway transportation projects, develop cost estimates, execute designs, create models, and ensure compliance with design code regulations. This position involves detailed geometric designs using CAD and collaborating closely with teams to deliver high-quality roadway infrastructure projects.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Vancouver, Washington.

Work Environment

This role operates on a 9/80 work schedule, allowing for every other Friday off. Typical workdays are from 7 AM to 5 PM with some flexibility in start times. The position is office-based to enhance team collaboration and project communication consistency. Our team consists of 6 members including 3-4 designers and a principal.
