The Transportation Coordinator new strategies in transportation options are considered as well as analysis to determine feasibility. These functions are coordinated with Hospital Administration, Department Heads, Medical Staff and others and are performed in accordance with MedStar Georgetown's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

    VIEW JOBS 3/29/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-27T00:00 Job Description: The NGA Center for Best Practices seeks an outstanding professional to join the Environment, Energy & Transportation Division (EET) as a Program Coordinator. This position will provide research, organizational, project coordination and administrative assistance to the EET of the NGA Center for Best Practices. Founded in 1908, the National Governors Association (NGA) is the nonpartisan organization of the nations 55 governors. Through NGA, governors share best practices, address issues of national and state interest and share innovative solutions that improve state government and support the principles of federalism. The NGA Center develops innovative solutions to today's most pressing public policy challenges and directly serves governors and their key policy staff. The NGA Center for Best Practices Environment, Energy & Transportation Division (EET) provides information, research, policy analysis, technical assistance and resource development for governors and their staff in the areas of energy, environment and transportation sectors. The division focuses on several issues, including: power sector modernization including the integration of distributed energy resources and energy efficiency; connected, autonomous and electric vehicles; smart and connected states, energy assurance and cybersecurity; infrastructure planning, financing, resiliency and innovation; existing and future nuclear energy; and state water resource management. Duties and Responsibilities: * Facilitates and supports all aspects of project management and programmatic responsibilities in the office; * Maintains project databases, assists with gathering data on project deliverables, generates reports, uses spreadsheets and tracking databases; * Develops grant report narratives and works with the NGA Office of Management and Budget to obtain pertinent budget materials; * Maintains divisions submissions to NGA project tracking database and fundraising database; * Provides weekly reports to director and/or project team lead and maintains project notes and files. * Assists in researching and writing documents and reports in response to requests for technical assistance from Governors offices as required; * Helps track state policy developments on energy, environment and infrastructure topics and compiles into databases, infographics and story maps; * Assists conference staff with logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops and conferences, confirms attendance, maintains attendee rosters, responds to participant questions, manages mailings and preparation of meeting materials, provides on-site meeting support (including travel to meetings and assistance with logistics), and manages cost reimbursement processes; * Ensures compliance with intra-office administrative requirements, prepares expense and other travel-related documents; * Arranges meetings with state officials and stakeholders and oversees divisions calendar; * Helps develop content for website and social media communications; and * Performs research on special projects as needed. Qualifications: A bachelors degree is required; an interest in public policy is essential. Relevant prior work experience, particularly with the public policy/political process is helpful but is not required. The ideal candidate will have: * High degree of integrity and confidentiality in handling and processing information of a highly sensitive and critical nature; * Attention to detail and demonstrated effectiveness in meeting deadlines; * Strong research and analytic skills; * Ability to convey essential information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally; * Strong computer skills to include proficiency with standard software applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Database application skills are helpful but not required; * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a project team; * Excellent oral and written communication skills including use of social media in an environment requiring diplomacy and good judgment in managing interactions with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization; * Demonstrated ability to take initiative; * Capability to multitask and work independently in a dynamic, changing work environment, setting priorities effectively; * Willingness to work weekends and late evenings, as needed; * Demonstrated willingness to learn; and, * Ability to travel up to 20% PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS * Fast-paced working environment; and * Extensive computer usage Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
