Transportation Coordinator


The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for releasing freight holds: processing RFP's & quotes; processing carrier claims; daily updates for Projects & Rollouts; POD requests; auditing carrier freight invoices & resolving past due invoices; validating third party requests; managing client specific advanced shipment notifications; assisting with shipment and custom delays; maintaining export and taxation documentation.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Freight hold releases: Review orders on freight hold. Calculate & enter freight costs when appropriate, release orders. If sales error, interact with sales to correct the problem. If system error, communicate to FBA to identify & correct system problems.

  • Claims: Daily maintenance of claims status report and claims processing.

  • Carrier freight bill auditing: Review carrier invoices & audit for correct pricing & charges. Process payment upload spreadsheet for A/P. Resolve billing issues & past dues with the various freight companies.

  • Shipment Updates: Responsible for daily maintenance of project /rollout status spreadsheet which includes tracking #'s, status, & POD's of shipments. Responsible for maintaining communication of any shipment delays to proper sales teams. Responsible for assisting with customs for import and export requirements

  • Quotes & RFP's : Responsible for obtaining competitive freight quotes for individual orders or for RFP bids.

  • Sales Support : Responsible for daily sales requests to re-route shipments; track shipments; arrange for same days & special handling. Resolve issues involving deliveries & pickups. Work with the Global Help desk to release, rate & route international shipments. Validate 3rd party account #'s & update client's account in SAP. Maintain client specific transportation communications; ensure sales is engaged of any time sensitive shipment delays, customs holds, etc.


  • Experienced with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Extensive import and export knowledge; understanding of APAC export licensing requirements preferred

  • Understanding of Importer of Record requirements and obligations

  • Good written & verbal skills / self- starter / independent worker

SAP experience preferred

As a Vendor Coordinator, you'll be part of the Insight Human Resources Team, and serve as the first point of contact for our Vendor Management Office. You'll assist our Managers and Supervisors on anything Staffing Vendor related, and will serve as the first line of support for both Insight and the Staffing Vendors. You will handle questions about Insight policies and procedures, maintain our Vendor Management System (VMS) called SAP Fieldglass, answer questions from our staffing vendor partners, and more. You must have excellent communication skills, strong willed, and have a high attention to detail to work with internal and external clients. As the Vendor Coordinator, you will: * Communicate. Work across all levels of the company to address staffing vendor-related requests. Know your resources and where to find answers to get things done. * Partner. Support a number of business unit leaders across all levels of the organization. * Support. You're the primary point of contact for day-to-day questions. You will take calls, handle emails and act as teammates' first point of contact into the Vendor Management Office. * Roll up your sleeves. In this role, you'll get to experience just about everything. On one day, you might help process a new contractor, and on the next, you might plan a site-wide job fair. What we're looking for in a Vendor Coordinator: * 1-2 years of exposure and/or experience with staffing, recruiting, or Vendor Management experience * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively communicate with teammates companywide * Extreme attention to detail since you'll be handling sensitive information * The ability to manage a number of tasks and projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing environment * Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness will be needed * Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
