General Summary...
The Transportation Coordinator I is responsible for maintaining the department's documentation, POD retention, quality and compliance programs. The individual is responsible for LTL tracking updates, notifications when delays are identified, and initiates the Supplier Corrective Action Response process when significant delays/issues arise. The individual follows up with carriers negligent in responses, ensures the transports in the TMS are coded and notes added to reduce reliance on email activities to support future inquires and reporting.
This Position Will Be Responsible For
Develop, revise and archive work instructions, process maps and system tools.
Issue notifications in the database during significant supplier failures.
Facilitate effective problem solving and root cause analysis as needed.
Communicate with external and internal customers, suppliers, and teammates.
Track and trace, including reporting.
Create and manage dock calendar appointments.
Transport coding for events related to service delays, disruptions, and other relative events.
Manage proof of delivery retention process including collecting, archiving delivery receipt hard copies and updating carrier KPI report.
Establish a pattern of continuous improvement and working within accepted quality guidelines to achieve goals. Demonstrate initiative.
Create shipping labels on ad-hoc basis.

High School Diploma or GED required.
One (1) year of transportation experience or two (2) years of experience in Forward/Shipping Operations.
Experience with Big Box Retail & Electronics 3PL Warehouse appointment and receiving processes preferred.
Ability to efficiently navigate TMS & WMS applications.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook skills, and web based carrier websites.
