As a Transit Consultant, you'll have the chance to Coordinate efforts related to the operation, inspection, testing, calibration, repair and maintenance of heavy rail electronic and electro-mechanical systems and equipment. Working with other members of the team, you'll Conduct investigations, audits records, and makes recommendations for improving workplace safety and hazard elimination. During your time with us, you will Make recommendations which include potential changes to policies and procedures, as well as, Analyze and evaluating complex safety problems, and unsafe systems trends detected in the rail and facilities functional areas.   • Minimum 7 years' experience in the transit and rail industry

  • Experience with asset management processes and best practices

  • Bachelors' degree

  • Experience leading transit and rail maintenance activities and safety programs

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Develops action plans to identify and initiate corrective actions of safety hazards

  • Analyze and evaluating complex safety problems, and unsafe systems trends detected in the rail and facilities functional areas

  • Responds to emergencies and assist various maintenance departments with job hazard analysis submission for final approval

  • Perform Federal Transit Administration incident notifications and investigations

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 Class Description A Tow Truck Operator drives and operates a tow truck to relocate impounded, abandoned, damaged, stalled or ticketed vehicles. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work shift work which may include evening, weekend, holiday or variable hours. Work is performed in vehicles on the street where inclement weather, traffic hazards and verbal abuse are encountered. Work requires moderate physical exertion. Selection Process All candidates indicating the minimum qualifications on their applications will be placed on the eligible list without further examination. The license, training and experience of each candidate will be evaluated for appropriateness and quantity. It is essential, therefore, that you give complete and accurate information on your application. Vagueness or omission may prevent you from being considered for the position. Qualified candidates will not be listed in rank order. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must: Education: Have graduated from high school or possess a GED certificate. Experience: Have one year of experience in operating a tow truck. Equivalencies: Three years of experience operating heavy equipment vehicles. Licenses, Registrations and Certifications: A valid Maryland Class A or B Commercial driver's license, or an equivalent driver's license and eligibility to obtain a Baltimore City driver's permit is required.
