Responsibilities

This position is located in the San Diego Division, San Diego, CA.

The incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Manages the vehicle fleet to include ensuring fleet is at or close to authorized numbers; that inventory and database information are accurate, recommending repairs, maintenance and disposition of vehicles based upon age, mileage and conditions of vehicle; fleet status, cost and availability funds.

  • Participates in maintaining accurate records of all monetary transactions to include keeping a log, obtaining appropriation numbers, entering data, balancing statements and providing necessary paperwork to DEA Headquarters.

  • Reviews monthly vehicle reports submitted by agents and other operators for accuracy.

  • Uses range of software applications to perform a broad range of duties to include preparing reports and charts/presentations; tracking suspense actions and updating specialized databases.

  • Coordinates vehicle sales and registrations. Performs entries in the Drug Enforcement Administration Vehicle Management System.

Qualifications

GS-06: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience to at least the GS-05 Federal grade level performing the following duties; managing, planning, directing, and overseeing the operation, maintenance, repair and replacement of a fleet of motor vehicles and trailers, ranging from sedans to heavy trucks of which some are classed as special-purpose vehicles; prepares documents to obligate funds for repairs, maintenance and tires; reviews monthly vehicle reports submitted by agents and other operators for accuracy; serves as approving official for the accuracy and legality of services, payment of invoices and/or contracted services for vehicles; performs acceptance inspection of vehicles at dealership; maintains and prepares reports for surplus vehicles.

PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: Applicant must be able to type 40 words per minute with less than 3 errors.

MUST POSSESS A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE.

The Clean Transportation Programs Manager serves as the primary lead for all Clean Transportation electric vehicle charging infrastructure programs. The Programs Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, management, direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of the multitude of Clean Transportation programs. This position will manage over $500M in Clean Transportation capital projects. This position is critical to support one of SDG&E's strategic growth areas representing Clean Transportation programs and initiatives within the company to ensure that a company coordinated, forward-looking approach is used in the development and managing of CT programs and to ensure their successful implementation in order to deliver and support a positive customer experience. * Resource and Production Management: Provide the team with strategy, vision and direction to ensure successful program deployment. Provide oversight of project managers that manage the day-to-day operations of each Clean Transportation Program. Review program strategies, progress, identification of efficiencies and planning activities. Coach and help develop team members, facilitate problem solving and collaboration within internal and external departments. Serves as management liaison to various internal departments including but not limited to Land Services, Accounts Payable, Customer Outreach, Regional Public Affairs, and Construction Services. Organizes internal teams to address specific customer issues. Represents customer perspective on infrastructure project development. * Provide direction and overall strategy to project managers to engage customer/site hosts. Work with project managers to provide uniform requirements for participation in program and ensure PMO team works with customers to educate on all aspects of programs, and gain commitment within their own organizations. Develop a framework for sales management that will proactively work with customers to secure commitment to procure electric vehicles, sign program terms and conditions, sign easement/license agreement and pay related participation payments. Accountable to report on project statuses, and secure customer contracts to meet program and project completion schedules. Work with other project team members to develop charging solutions and site development plans that meet program requirements and satisfies customers. * Plans capital improvement and other projects by preparing necessary documents outlining scope of projects, objectives, methodologies and major duties of project participants. Perform duties involving planning, budgeting, and scheduling all aspects of multiple capital projects. Oversee the negotiation and administration of consultant contracts, coordinating design reviews, environmental reviews, right-of-way and permit acquisition. Provides guidance and framework for the monitoring and coordination of the activities of contractors, consultants, committees, community organizations, and users during construction. Manages SDG&E's relationship with various CPUC program advisory council members. Oversees the preparation and submittal processes for all Clean transportation reports, such as Power Your Drive reports, CARB Low Carbon Fuel Standard compliance reports.
