Our Route Manager will work starting around 3:30am until the job is done. The RouteManagers average 10-12 hour days Monday to Friday, and some Saturdayrequirements are needed.
WOW! Each Manager is eligible to receive a (15%) quarterly bonus,(based on the overall site and individual job performance.)
Manage collection routes and driver/laborer performance on a dailybasis in single or multiple line of businesses: Commercial, Roll-Off,Port-o-let, Tractor Trailer, HCS, and Bagster (does not include OilfieldServices).

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able toperform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may beassigned.
Organizesand schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities,including monitoring driver time and coordinating daily operational needswith Maintenance team.
Manages theend-of-day check-in process, capturing and communicating key service,safety, and equipment issues.
Participatesin regular P&L reviews to ensure that budgets are met; develops and implementsprograms for optimal equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, andlabor and material costs.
Reviewsweekly demand / volume for routes, determines potential gains fromre-routing, and recommends re-routes to the routing specialist.
Sets and monitorsproductivity, service, and safety targets for each route and driver bycollecting accurate data and reporting for various incentive pay programs.
Ensures thatdrivers comply with physicals, drug or alcohol tests, and trainingrequired by regulatory agencies. Documents and maintains recordsrequired by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportationand OSHA.
Works withfunctional groups to resolve employee relations and labor relationsissues.
ConductsRoot Cause Investigations for all injuries and incidents, ensuringconsistent discipline and retraining.
Visitscustomers and customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues,seeking service alternatives where appropriate. Ensures set-uperrors and missed pickups are reported and resolved.
Assists withpersonnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching,disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employeeperformance. Provides input into termination, compensation, andpromotion decisions.
Ensureadherence to facility best practices and processes by conducting regularauditing. Ensure that the monthly facility inspection is completedand that the site remains compliant.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises drivers in the districts from all lines of businesses. Mentor/Coach less experienced Route Managers.

A. Education and Experience
Education:Associate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diplomaor GED (accredited) and 2 years of relevant work experience.
Experience:3 years of work experience in transportation, logistics, or solid wasteoperations (in addition to education requirement)
