What you'll do on a typical day:
Act as the key point of contact for XPO and the Lear Leadership team; ensure accurate communications while proactively anticipating and addressing risk
Manage the process between business partners (executives, managers, technical experts, etc.) and customers to identify and scope areas of cost savings opportunities, and ensure XPO Managed Expedite performance is meeting objectives
Identify, propose and deliver key initiatives that improve and drive efficiency into the team's internal processes; participate in continuous improvement projects and processes, and identify and lead Top 5 Premium Reduction Strategies
Monitor daily performance and address gaps in communication, training, problem solving and carrier performance; provide recommendations to improve customer experience based on trend analysis and recommend corrective actions for out-of-compliance trends
Participate in Daily Operations calls; take lead on ensuring all expedite responsibilities are carried out to customer needs and expectations.
Provide support on quoting, particularly for international moves
Act as liaison between Specialized and Expedite team; assist in routing PTAs and communications between the two groups
Assist users with shipping material from Southfield facilities (e.g. gather dimensions, figure out the best mode of transport, crating required)
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
2 years of experience in logistics or transportation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications; ability to create complex formulas in Excel and quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
It'd be great if you also have:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain
Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of the results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
