Job Description:

Boeing's Enterprise Transportation, Warehousing & Logistics (TW&L) group is looking to bring on a Transportation Analyst - Integration. The Integration Analyst will join enterprise-wide and cross-functional teams defining export control programs as well as Boeing's growing Global 2025 objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis on complex compliance and logistics initiatives and recommend best practice solutions relating to transportation and logistics practices, processes, and procedures.

  • Support, investigate, and advocate incidents that may lead Matters Under Review (MUR) involving TWL - Identify, develop and implement corrective measures that effect comprehensive enterprise improvements

  • Assimilate information and analyze data to make strategic and operational decisions and recommendations. Integrate related information to identify and implement opportunities for strategic focus and business solutions.

  • Develop, deploy and perform risk assessments to identify and proactively manage issue to ensure compliance with Global Regulatory Agencies guidelines.

  • Coordinate and leads a variety of internal process reviews, audit/assessment activities and support services.

  • Develop, recommend changes and ensures alignment to new or existing corporate command media, process management procedures and organization roles and responsibilities

  • Interface with IT personnel on systems upgrades and testing.

  • Create training, user guides, and command media on export control tools and requirements.

  • Interface with functional organizations on policy or regulatory changes to the Global Trade Regulations and identify impacts to the TWL organizations process, systems and tools.

  • Interface with IT organizations for system fixes, upgrades and corrective actions.

  • Develop and sustain meaningful metrics used to shape and improve TW&L process execution

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's and typically 3 or more years related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite applications

  • 1+ year of experience working with international trade policy analysis

  • 1+ year of experience in Domestic and International Supply Chain Logistics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience in taking a collaborative approach to problem solving & building enduring partnerships

  • Experience with internal system integration that supports U.S. government export filing

Under general supervision, an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Technician I performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical and electronic traffic signal control devices, various communication devices, and the ITS components. This position performs related duties, as required. An employee in this class is expected to install, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and repair current and future ITS infrastructures and interfaces such as various traffic signal cabinet systems; vehicle detection systems; traffic control devices; dynamic message signs; communication systems; perform preventive maintenance on ITS equipment such as control cabinets, video cameras and subsystems, interconnect, and electrical wiring. Work includes troubleshooting malfunctions and responding to trouble calls. The incumbent performs construction of traffic signals and inspects the work of contractors to verify their work meets City of Mesa and other standards. The incumbent uses a personal computer (PC) for recordkeeping and diagnostic troubleshooting of signal operations. Guidance is received by the ITS Technician II. Supervision is received from the ITS Operations Foreman who reviews work through observation, conferences, reports, and results achieved. The incumbent will be required to work irregular shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Work is subject to call-out during off-duty hours. This class is FLSA nonexempt. Minimum Qualifications Required. Graduation from high school or GED. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to 2 - 3 years' traffic signal maintenance experience, or graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science (Electronics Engineering Technology), and at least one year of traffic signal cabinet maintenance experience. Special Requirements. Must possess a valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Instructional Permit by hire date. The skills demonstration portion of the CDL test must be completed within 120 days of hire date and will be administered by a City of Mesa Third Party Tester. An International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Level I Traffic Signal Technician Certification is required. Must possess an IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technician Certification (Electronic or Electrical), an IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Certification, and a Temporary Traffic Control Certification by American Traffic Safety Services Association or the International Municipal Signal Association within one year after date of employment. Must live within a 20 mile radius of the intersection of Main Street and Greenfield Road within one year after date of employment, and must maintain this residency status throughout the duration in the position. Substance Abuse Testing. This class is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing as outlined in 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 382. Preferred/Desirable Qualifications. Experience in maintaining microprocessor-based instruments, National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and Advanced Traffic Control (ATC) controllers, basic knowledge of PC operations, optical preempt devices, and communications equipment, is preferred.
