Viking Group is currently seeking a Transportation Analyst for our Grand Rapids, MI location (relocating to our new Corporate office in Caledonia, MI in the summer of 2019!). PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as carrier invoicing and pricing, decreasing transit time and cost, and supporting the Viking Fleet of trucks with DOT compliance.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and communicates all fleet policies and procedures.

  • Negotiates and manages contract and relationships with leasing companies, maintenance, and fleet card providers.

  • Maintains accurate records of all vehicle repairs and maintenance.

  • Supports the company's strategy in relation to all DOT/ FMCSA compliance requirements.

  • Extracts data from various transportation management systems to analyze and identify cost savings and process improvements.

  • Collects, validates, and analyzes data to establish and maintains key KPI's.

  • Compiles, maintains, negotiates, and updates carrier contracts.

  • Runs various reports on carriers to review pricing and ensure service commitments are met.

  • Tracks cost savings initiatives and recommends areas of improvement.

  • Expert ability to analyze, manipulate, and present data to support the decision making process.

  • Proactively communicates and advises on trends, changes in transportation industry, or other logistics related factors that may impact the transportation of product.

  • Quotes, sets up, and follows through with expedited shipments, as needed.

  • Performs other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • APICS certification

  • Bachelor degree in related field required and 1-3 years of experience or equivalent

  • Demonstrates excellent project management and organizational skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Overview The Application Support Analyst is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include: Provide second-level support for all internal and external Hope Network applications, contributing to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes. This may include but not limited to financial, clinical, payroll, Human Resources (HR) and other Information Technology (IT) approved applications. Summary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of job functions. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.2. Resolve technical and functional application issues escalated from the Service Desk Team or end-users. 3. Work with internal teams and external 3rd-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems and ensure they are documented and distributed to all team members, other teams and departments as necessary. Escalating issues to Team Lead as necessary. 4. Meets appropriate metrics for key performance and quality indicators, particularly in terms of in-depth trend analysis.5. Facilitate knowledge transfer between Business Solutions Team and Service Desk Team for application design and support. 6. Perform application testing and evaluation.7. Work with Hope Network staff to build and maintain; SQL, SSRS and EMR reports and perform data analysis when requested.8. Monitor production application alerts and respond to alerts in a timely manner. 9. The position is also responsible for preparing and maintaining application documentation. This will include documentation of all changes to the applications and internal support documentation.10. Participate in on-call work rotation to support 24/7 service.11. Perform other duties as required. Requirements Educational / Talent Requirements:1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent direct work experience. Degree should be in a technical area.2. Excellent teamwork skills.3. Demonstrated ability to problem solve.4. Ability to analyze data to identify trends and patterns.5. Strong written and oral communication skills.6. Previous customer service experience.7. Ability to work effectively with end users who have a varied degree of technical experience.8. HDI Technical Support Professional (within 12 months) Work Experience Requirements:1. 1-3 years of experience in an IT application support position. 2. Hands on experience with remote assistance tools and applications.3. Ability work independently or as part of a team.4. Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment; re-prioritizing needs and projects as required to meet the needs of the network and persons served.5.
