Responsibilities

Manage relationship between the transportation carriers and Transportation Department. Act as liaison with other departments for movement of materials and goods.

Assist in identification and resolution issues regarding transportation and billing. Work with 3rd party audit and payment services.
Ensure carriers are paid promptly, track and monitor process for statistical data analysis. Assist on monthly freight cost allocation reports, including developing new processes.
Assist with research, monitoring, and negotiation of freight billing.
Assist with development, communication and reinforcement of routing policies and procedures.
Initiate and follow-up with vendor/carrier deduction processes to ensure freight billing charges are accurate.
Resolve freight claim adjustments for damaged shipments. Assist warehouse with audit of damaged goods inventory.
Daily domestic load planning and cost effective consolidations.
Small parcel issues including support to E-Commerce Customer Service; reverse logistics processes.
Proficiently utilize TMS software. Apply TMS as an integral tool for maximizing load planning, carrier tracking and vendor compliance monitoring.
Assist in managing the ocean freight process for Blain Supply inbound traffic department.
Assist in managing the small package shipment program for Blain Supply inbound traffic department.
Assist in managing the TMS system for Blain Supply inbound traffic department.
Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management/business and two to three years logistics or business experience

Basic Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of SQL
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to read and speak English
This job involves exposure to fast-paced environment and to moving material handling equipment

Acts as a subject matter expert in Workforce Management planning analysis and reporting needs. * Assist with configuration and support of WFM systems as needed or as directed by Workforce Planning and Analytics Manager. * Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures. Qualifications Three to five years data analyst and/or retail management experience preferred. Possess a valid driver license.
