What You Will Do
The RDC Transportation Admin Clerk is primarily responsible administrative work and direct support for handling inbound and outbound drivers at the Distribution Center's Transportation Center. This role is responsible for administrative tasks related to dedicated carriers, inbound and outbound loads, and a variety of activities supporting transportation. These activities include maintaining physical documents, scheduling inbound live appointments, and corresponding with carriers to keep daily backhaul information up to date. This role processes the paperwork for drivers, receives product in the Data Management System (DMS) and prepares shipping documents for outbound trucks. The individual in this role is expected to provide exemplary customer service and serves as "the face of Lowe's" to drivers who enter the facility grounds. In addition, this role is responsible for coordinating traffic on the facility yard and monitoring movements of trailers from and to the docks.

What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Demonstrated track record of good attendance
Basic math and reading comprehension skills
Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong safety orientation and proven record of complying with safety requirements
Demonstrated track record of consistent and reliable on-the-job contribution
Ability to work independently with limited supervision or with a team
Preferred Qualifications
Post-secondary education in business, supply chain management, transportation or related field
Experience in a customer service role
Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems
Experience using a data management system
Experience in distribution center operations or previous warehouse experience
Experience operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, yard truck)
Experience performing detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced working environment
