(Handoff) RN to RN in-between studies. Moving a stable rhythm patient that has normal heart rate and rhythm back to the patients baseline # Transports patients by stretcher and wheelchair between their rooms and other service areas of the Medical Center. # Assists nursing personnel (Passport) to prepare patients for transports, including moving and positioning patients # Inspects stretchers and wheelchairs for readiness and cleanliness before and after patient transport (assigned stretcher) # Participates in the training of new personnel # Willing and readily, assist all internal and external customers as needed, looking beyond individual scope of service. # Interacts with co-workers, Medical Center staff and supervisors in a courteous, professional and service oriented manner.
Communicates in a positive, helpful and friendly manner at all times, using appropriate body language, eye contact and tone of voice. Maintains constructive relationships at all times # Signing in and out patients # Speaks on the telephone in a courteous and professional manner # Recognizes and performs task to be completed and/or services to be provided # Participates in quality monitoring activities # Attends staff meetings and weekly huddles # # # # ############### Accountabilities/Criteria # # Demonstrates the correct use of patient transport equipment (oxygen tanks, wheel chairs, stretchers, etc.) # Completes assignments in a timely manner.(standard move time) # Responds appropriately to emergency situations, including Rapid Response (In-patient) when indicated. # Obtain and maintain current BLS certification # # Mandated and Permissive Reporter Training required# # *Indicates the essential functions of this position.
