We are looking for an experienced Transport & Logistics Manager to oversee a team of Logistics Specialists across multiple locations. You will manage all logistics and transport activities in the North America Region encompassing our Onshore, Offshore and process Technologies businesses.

In this role, you will provide administrative and analytical support to the Project Procurement for the Onshore/Offshore and/or Department Manager and project staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Transport & Logistics manager will develop, implement, execute and maintain regional Logistics and Transport organization that will ensure competitive logistics and transport services to the North America Region. Ensure best practice processes and tools and maximize cost savings without compromising safety and quality.

  • Develop an exceptional regional organization that is capable and responsible for the optimal storage, preservation and movement of all materials for the Region in compliance with local and international regulations and in accordance with safety requirements

  • Develop Transportation and Logistics strategies in conjunction with the projects, identifying risks and mitigation plans and optimal costs. Accountable for executing the strategies.

  • Design, develop and implement a regional logistics and transport function as a shared service that supports winning business and execution of projects

  • Provide governance to the projects in the region and assures compliance to the governance

  • In collaboration with the Global Transport and Logistics Director, identifies synergies across projects to optimize cost and mitigate risk

  • Build and maintains supplier and 3rd party relationships with transportation companies, freight forwarders, government agencies and all logistics suppliers

  • Guard the safety of employees and suppliers, especially the ones working physically with materials

  • Ensure compliance to internal processes and local laws and regulations (e.g. due diligence process, qualification of suppliers, trade laws, etc.)

  • Motivate a "virtual" team, with team members located across different business centers and countries to be highly engaged in daily activities and improvement initiatives

  • Deliver cost efficient transport and agent services

  • Deliver goods/equipment/system on time and with high quality

  • Improve organizational efficiency

  • Guide and develop direct reports to constantly improve their performance

  • Lead employee development activity in the function and actively engage in top talent development

  • Secure talent development pipeline

  • Establish and follow up function cost center budget

You are meant for this job if

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering or Business & Administration or relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in EPC project logistics, operations and/or supply chain/logistics/transport

  • Minimum 6 years management experience

  • Experience from the energy industry, preferable Oil & Gas large EPC Projects, is preferred

  • Demonstrative ability to troubleshoot and develop strategic and innovative implementation plans

  • Demonstrative ability to develop, improve and implement processes, policies and procedures
