Job Summary (Purpose):

The Transport Driver drives a tanker truck (11,400 gallon capacity) to pick up propane at the supply point (e.g. refinery, pipeline terminal, storage facility) and deliver it to area AmeriGas facilities. The driver will make four to five pick-ups and deliveries per day, driving an average of 500 miles per day and working up to 14 hours per day. Approximately 80 percent of the driver's time is spent driving or waiting in line at the supply point.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the tanker truck to pick up propane at the refinery and deliver to area AmeriGas facilities; approximately 45 minutes is required to load or unload the truck.

  • Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker.

  • Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker. The hoses stored on the truck come in two sizes: 20 feet long, three inches in diameter; and 19 feet long, 1 inches in diameter.

  • Perform twice daily truck inspections.

  • May climb ladders at some AmeriGas facilities to check gauges at the top of the bulk tanks.

Education and Experience Required:

  • 3 Years Tractor and Trailer Experience. 200,000 miles minimum

  • 1 Year Tanker Experience within the last 3 years, preferred

  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement

  • Eligible for a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)

  • No Accidents in the Previous 3 years

  • No More Than One Moving Violation in the Previous 2 years

ABB Power Grids is seeking a TMC Transport Administrator for its Pittsburgh, PA location. This role is responsible for Supporting North America Business Units in execution Import / Export customs transactions in accordance with regulatory requirements and supported by Power Grid (PG's) Global Trade System. Competence center within the TMC for customs transactions; custom broker interface; and facilitation of accurate and timely trade transactions. Also Responsible for administrating import customs transactions supporting the PG JV operations to ensure accuracy and consistency of customs transactions; documentation; and customs broker performance. Support operating businesses with import transactions and general customs support activities. Focus will be on clearing customs. Your responsibilities * Import Customs clearance service- International Inbound Cargo * Provide Customs Broker instructions and manage broker performance * Confirm accurate calculation and payment of duties and customs fees * Drive efficiency and accuracy of customs transactions * Product classification * Utilize GTS Compliance screening and Customs module broker instructions * Generate monthly duty reports, ad hoc reports and KPIs as required by Business Line * Executes daily transactions in accordance with trade compliance strategy and policy at Global/Region/Country level * Support post entry audits * Transact TMC Customs processes in alignment with CTOM/CTCO compliance requirements. * Regular interface with local businesses to provide required service support and value-added improvements. * Assure compliance with procedures for preparation and issuance of broker instructions to nominated customs brokers / forwarders * Verify HTS and ECCN tariff classifications per business database; Country of Origin; transaction value per the Purchase Order or Sales Order documents. * Verification of Broker accuracy per business instructions and data including HTS; ECCN; duty rates and amount; currency declaration; CoO; etc. * Identify duty mitigation opportunities in Region/Country and saving cost via quality improvement initiatives and process standardization. * Ensure accuracy and correctness of import and export declarations to local authorities. * Manages and assists Global and/or Local Business Unit with complex issues and opportunities * Refers customs communications; audit inquires; rulings; compliance matters to TMC Customs Manager. * Represent interest of business units in conducting import / export transactions. * Ensure proper duty and other taxes and fees are assessed on all transactions. * SME resource to business units in the area of customs and trade management Your background * Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years' of experience in trade compliance role, specific focus on import regulations and procedures and export control compliance. * Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the United States. * Good knowledge of Customs and BIS regulations and procedures * Ability to perform with a complex range of businesses and tasks * Knowledge of Generalized System of Preferences (GSPs) * Knowledge of C-TPAT Requirements * Knowledge of Section 301 Tariffs and exclusion process * Knowledge and support of U.S. Customs and CBP records retention process * Customs Broker License (US) preferred * knowledge of exports and AES filing would be beneficial. * Working knowledge with SAP and SAP/GTS systems * ABB product knowledge * HTS and/or ECCN classification experience * Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. * Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple time sensitive tasks in a dynamic environment * Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with team an customers * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills * Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency * Ability to travel up to 10% regionally. * Strong IT skills with using standard MS applications * Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
