JOB PURPOSE: Clinical management of general hepatology patients, transplant candidates and living donors from the time of referral through transplantation and beyond.
The living donor recipient transplant coordinator will provide education throughout the evaluation and waitlisted process as well as assist with needed testing for listing and transplant. The living donor transplant recipient coordinator will serve as a liaison from outpatient listing to inpatient care working closely with the living donor kidney team with communication and documentation as well as close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team including social work, dieticians and case managers. Serves as clinical expert providing education, research, coaching, direct care, consultation, leadership collaboration and ethical decision making for potential kidney transplant recipients who possess a living donor.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years of nursing experience required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Georgia.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of critical care or procurement experience preferred. CCTC, CCPC, or CCTN preferred.
