Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Operations and Maintenance, this role involves supporting transmission operations and maintenance by developing procedures, completing analytical studies, facility condition assessments, and providing equipment support. You will apply approved programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with transmission operating reliability requirements and interpret and advise on maintenance issues. Key responsibilities include implementing compliance programs for NERC or PUCT reliability standards, developing plans and specifications for transmission systems, and managing special projects to ensure ongoing compliance and operation. Collaboration with peers to solve practical problems in transmission design and maintenance, developing training for personnel, and ensuring record keeping meets all requirements are also crucial aspects of this role.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from ABET accredited curriculum

• 2 - 5 years industry specific experience

• EIT/FE Certification

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Apps (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams etc.)

Soft Skills

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions

• Mature, self-starter, service-oriented

• Professional in conduct and attitude

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This role will be hybrid between Dallas and Substation facilities in South Texas

Work Environment

The role involves working in both outdoor and office conditions, providing technical support for field technician related to maintenance and restoration activities, and may include supervising maintenance and construction projects.
