DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Translates written and verbal communication between NOA, NCL, and other Nintendo subsidiaries and partners
Translates confidential e-mail and other written documentation from Japanese to English, and English to Japanese
Provides verbal interpretation for meetings and conference calls
May require travel to Japan as well as evening work in Pacific Time Zone
SUMMARY OR REQUIREMENTS
Five or more years of experience translating documents of a business and technical nature
Written and verbal fluency in English and Japanese, including keigo, jargon, slang, and idioms, with basic understanding of technical subject matter
Ability to work with highly confidential information
Ability to produce high quality results under tight deadlines and fluctuating priorities with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and work effectively with all levels of personnel
Experience with English and Japanese versions of Microsoft Word and Excel
Additional experience with Microsoft Visio and Adobe Acrobat preferred
Professional training in Translation/Interpretation or equivalent experience
Level 1 certification in Japanese Language Proficiency Test required, or
Level 1.5 certification or higher English Language Proficiency Test required
