Bay Area Women's Center, a family-friendly non-profit agency, is seeking a Transitional Supportive Housing Case Manager. The TSH Case Manager is a part-time position that provides counseling, advocacy, education, and support services to participants. The ideal candidate will be non-judgmental, highly organized, and demonstrate program development and management skills.

The TSH Case Manager will work an average of 24-28 hours per week.

Specific Duties:

  • Develop individualized service plans.
  • Provide regular, one-on-one counseling sessions at the agency and on home visits.
  • Provide advocacy and education, as related to service plan.
  • Coordinate with community resources to ensure that all client needs are met.
  • Oversee follow-up services, in coordination with other staff.
  • Evaluate and report on the TSH Program on an on-going basis.
  • Participate as a member of Client Services Meeting, Non-Residential Case Management, and other inter-agency committees, as appropriate and necessary.
  • Participate, on a rotation basis, with residential on-call duties.
  • Attend training, to continually increase knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of client records.
  • Compile, maintain and report statistical data, as required and necessary.

Community Liaison:

  • Participate in training of volunteers and students working with clients in the TSH Program.
  • Maintain on-going, positive communication and collaborative efforts within the community.
  • Participate as a member of committees and task forces in the community, as related to transitional housing issues and assigned by supervisor.
  • Participate in agency community awareness activities/events, as appropriate and necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor degree in human service field, with some related work experience.
  • Ability to work independently, with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Skills in program development, implementation and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Able and willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to be non-judgmental and work with a diverse population.
  • Be able to lift 20 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sales * Responsible for opening accounts, consumer loans, home equity lines of credit, referrals to business partners and operating a cash drawer when necessary. * Consistently execute activities and behaviors to meet established, sales, cross-sell and referral goals; conduct outbound calls and facilitate relationship review conversations with new and existing customers to establish, retain and expand relationships. * Analyze financial and personal data to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, educate customers on various products and services, explaining key features and benefits to deliver appropriate solutions and close sales. * Monitor and manage accounts and relationships with new and existing customers; contact customers after opening accounts as part of the customer on-boarding process. * Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services to support customer needs; proactively support sales campaign initiatives. Operations * Identify and resolve customer service issues; maintain professional poise and remain calm under pressure of time constraints and potential difficult customer situations. * May provide assistance in completing procedures related to compliance, audit, opening and closing the banking center each day and support in training new and existing team members. * May support the Banking Center Manager in providing overrides, and observing and providing feedback to the Teller team. * Keep Banking Center Manager informed of all decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service that s/he is responsible for. * Perform all duties in accordance with regulatory, operational, security and audit policies and procedures. Other / Miscellaneous * Actively participate and assist in the facilitation of daily and weekly banking center team meetings. * Participate in Community Reinvestment Act efforts and activities. * Provide support on sales campaigns and other initiatives.
