The TAY (Transition Age Youth) Peer Intern engages youth and young adults ages 16-25 in the Solano County TAY Services Program. The Peer Intern provides hope, one-on-one support, and mentorship to participants by sharing their own experience with recovery/resilience and expertise in navigating systems and programs such as STRTP, Wraparound services, Educational Systems, Juvenile Justice Systems, and Child Welfare Systems. The Peer Intern works collaboratively with other program staff to provide the best care and advocacy possible.

  • Provide group peer support to youth ages 16-25 years old in the TAY Services Program

  • Facilitate the Solano Youth Advisory Board on an ongoing basis including coordination and outreach to youth

  • Attend and participate in mental health awareness activities in the community and peer forums which may include public speaking engagements

  • Coordinate with other youth providers in the community such as First Place for Youth

  • Complete all training requirements as indicated by Program Supervisor

  • Complete any documentation as indicated by Program Supervisor

  • Participate in weekly supervision/mentorship with the Program Supervisor or designee


  • Personal experience receiving services (STRTP, Wraparound services, Educational Systems, Juvenile Justice Systems, Child Welfare System, etc.) required

  • Must be at least 18 yrs. old with a high school diploma

  • Valid California driver's license

  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal requirements

  • Ability to work as a team player

  • Strong communication skills


Internship January 2020- July 2020

  • Part-time

  • Flexible schedule, 20 hours a week


  • $16 per hour

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in creating visual concepts in response to marketing & creative briefs, including brochures, proposal submissions, PowerPoint and other materials to help support local sales effort. Successful candidate will have a natural creative flair, a strong visual style, flexible, adaptable and willing to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments. Proactive in approach, and with a genuine understanding of the visual OOH medium. The role is very “hands-on” and continuously busy with multiple projects. Essential Functions Provide speculative art to promote sales Knowledge of design trends and implementing them Create print ready mechanicals to fulfill local advertising contracts Assist senior creative director and marketing with tasks such as editing photos, in-house designs, and other special creative projects. Ability to take lead on projects assigned by senior creative director and/or marketing Manage tasks effectively based on priority level Qualifications Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Proficient with Microsoft Office such as PowerPoint Understanding of creative design and layout Confidence in communicating ideas and sell them to peers and clients Awareness of digital media and evolving platforms Detail-oriented Additional Qualifications Able to work with frequent interruptions and multiple concurrent tasks Willingness to work in a high pressured environment with tight deadlines without compromising on work quality Supports and exhibits behavior consistent with the sales and service philosophy of OUTFRONT Media.
