The overall responsibility of the Career Pathway Coach is to provide academic advising and support to the students enrolled at Technical College Campuses with the transition plan to pursue an A.S. degree Program at Valencia College. Such advising shall include collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders in identifying and upholding the integrity of the academic programs including local articulations, SACS requirements, student success, and Valencia College policies and procedures.

1.Work closely with academic departments to ensure the accuracy of the current and future program listing and content in the college catalog.

2.Work closely with the academic deans and faculty with the development of course offerings at the Technical College Campuses.

3.Assist in developing, maintaining and revising articulation agreements with Technical College Campuses.

4.Work collaboratively with Deans, faculty, and Office of Curriculum and Assessment to prepare the appropriate Substantive Change documents for SACS submission.

5.Work closely with Institutional Research preparing a database to include students and program of study information.

6.Assist students with setting goals and planning for college transition.

7.Follow up with students to encourage progress towards meeting goals.

Required Qualifications
Required Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution. Required Field of Study Other Required Qualifications Required License/Certification

Work or teaching experience in a career and technical education field at a higher education institution.
Experience in coordinating programs and services.

Working Conditions
General Working Conditions
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include but are not limited to frequently using discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning, maintaining confidentiality, comprehension, problem solving, and decision-making.
