The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) invites applications for the position of Transfer Credit & Records Specialist housed within the Office of the Registrar.
We are looking for a highly-motivated, team-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, an attention to detail, and previous exposure with database and content management software. Applicants should appreciate the structure policies and regulation provide and be ready to operate in a fast-paced, technology-rich environment aimed at generating efficiencies. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of the student record and providing a high standard of customer service.

The Transfer Credit & Records Specialist position is housed within the Office of the Registrar which is under UAA Enrollment Services. This position supports production of official transcripts and enrollment verifications.
Evaluates college transcripts and processes test scores. This position fields emails, calls, and lobby visits relating to records and transfers.
To thrive in this role a successful candidate should have two years' experience working full time in a post-secondary educational environment or equivalent customer service environment where rules and regulations are applied to individual customers. Familiarity with complex web applications, database management systems and SQL within the last 3-5 years is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, calendaring, email, and web browsers within the last 3-5 years is required.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
