Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting AML/KYC Investor On-Boarding Manager to join our Transfer Agency team. In this role you will be responsible for directing team resources to achieve overall client satisfaction and will be evaluated on their ability to provide client satisfaction as efficiently as possible, while mitigating operational risk. Achieving this will require leadership, initiative, creativity, management skills, including delegation and the ability to instill enthusiasm and commitment among team members. In addition, you will need to continuously analyze the market for Best Practices and benchmarking techniques to ensure that BBH policy for TA is aligned to best market practice.

As a TA IOB Manager you will be responsible for managing all issues associated with staff, workflow and client relationship management in Boston as part of the account opening and ongoing due diligence process. You will be the principal point of contact for the TA IOB Team; will participate in conference calls, client meetings and presentations as required by the business.

In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with existing group and departmental policies, which will be measured through audits and reviews, and create standards within the respective teams to enhance workflows. It is expected that the manager will be the subject matter expert for the escalation of any issues that arise from account opening as well as ongoing due diligence processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish service standards for our clients within the core areas of investor on boarding and ongoing monitoring.

  • Be responsible for instituting and reporting on measures.

  • Work closely with the Managers to keep the highest level of the process and clients' satisfaction.

  • Ensure regular contact is made with clients, ensure any service issues are addressed immediately and efficiency improvements and automation are identified and implemented.

  • Provide second level of escalation for clients.

  • Ensure any issues, errors or complaints are escalated accordingly, and that adequate steps are taken to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.

  • Ensure all activity is carried out in accordance with the Funds documentation.

  • Ensure all work is processed and/or reported in accordance with the agreed operating procedures.

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are in place, to meet both daily and future business requirements.

  • Responsible for handling employees failing to meet team expectations.

  • Review and reorganize functional tasks for maximum efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience

  • Experience in AML, KYC, Transfer Agency

  • Experience in planning, initiating and following through to meet objectives.

  • Be able to demonstrate ability to coordinate with other departments to meet client needs.

  • Proven track record in identifying, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory; German and / or French is desirable.

  • Well developed IT skills Working knowledge of European regulation for AML/KYC would be advantageous.

  • Ability to identify and escalate issues with discretion

VIEW JOBS 3/7/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-05T00:00 As an Investor On Boarding ("IOB") Supervisor you will provide detailed AML knowledge within the Investor On Boarding Team with the objective to achieve overall high client satisfaction. You will leverage your deep subject matter expertise to perform Transfer Agency IOB functions in a controlled and efficient manner and continue to strengthen client relationships. The Role of IOB Supervisor will display a high degree of professionalism and integrity through their work and will possess detailed knowledge and experience in an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Know Your Client (KYC) role within a Client On-Boarding team or AML Remediation team. The successful candidate will be expected to act a subject matter expect on complicated account openings. In order to be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail, very strong AML knowledge as well as the ability to act interact professionally with other departments such as Compliance and AML Product delegate and to discuss all matters pertaining to AML on investor accounts. Key responsibilities include: * Review and approval of global AML/KYC requirements for varying investor types * Follow up and oversee the remediation of accounts that are non-compliant to in adherence with current local regulations * Ability to handle special or complicated account opening including exceptions that require strong oversight * Review and discuss with the IOB Manager, Compliance, Senior Management any issues including AML/KYC requiring escalation * Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis and have this evidenced. * Actively participate and work with Client Service Managers and TA Production Support in the launch of any new or incremental business such as new funds/share classes, including account opening. * Oversee the accurate preparation of any sample files required for internal or external audits * Possess an in-depth understanding of AML/KYC due diligence requirements on a range of institutional clients types with different legal structures, in all jurisdictions, to support businesses across various product groups including Real Estate Funds and Equities * Fully conversant with the AML/KYC rules and regulations. * Solid proven experience in an Investment Bank within a Compliance/on-boarding team * Review publicly available sources for information pertaining to client due diligence (e.g. Stock Exchange) * Assist in drafting and documenting procedures, policies and processes as necessary * In-depth understanding of typical legal structures including hedge funds, special purpose vehicles, partnerships, trusts and charities * Establish, together with the IOB Manager service standards and procedures for the IOB Team * Responsible for instituting and reporting on measures to determine the team's performance in meeting these standards * Remain knowledgeable of changing industry initiatives (attend presentations, work sessions & personal effort) and educate clients continually through presentations * Assist by providing insight through their detailed AML knowledge for the cross-training of staff on all aspects of AML/KYC rules and regulations to develop depth and breadth of knowledge of the team * Review and reorganize, together with the IOB Manager and peers, functional tasks for maximum efficiency * Manage controls efficiently to alleviate any potential risk areas Qualifications: * In-depth understanding of typical legal structures including hedge funds, special purpose vehicles, partnerships, trusts and charities * Ability to handle special processing situations, including exceptions, that require strong oversight * Progressive, positive and professional attitude to work, with a view to continuous improvement * Proven aptitude for problem solving * Minimum of 5 years Transfer Agency experience, 2 years of which must be in a similar function, i.e. TA AML * Excellent knowledge of AML/KYC legal requirements aligned to current regulations * Ability to liaise across departments/functions when needed to handle specific client requests * Ability to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes * Fluency in English is mandatory; German and / or French are considered a plus * Knowledge or prior experience of Multifonds TA is considered essential/an advantage What You Can Expect At BBH: If you join BBH you will find collaborative environment that enables you to step outside your role to add value wherever you can.
