Dakota State University invites applications for the position of Transfer Admissions Specialist. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills to provide exceptional support to undergraduate transfer students. As a Transfer Admissions Specialist, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through DSU's educational programs, admission and enrollment process, financial aid opportunities, and more. This position reports to the Director of Admissions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-campus and virtual admission visits to engage with prospective transfer students.

  • Represent DSU at regional transfer college fairs, fostering relationships with community colleges and institutions with articulation agreements.

  • Develop communication plans and leverage CRM technology to effectively manage student messaging.

  • Collaborate in planning and executing new student registration and orientation sessions.

  • Perform preliminary transfer course evaluations to ensure smooth credit transfer.

  • Offer expertise in the transfer of dual credit courses.

  • Work closely with advising staff, forming an integral part of a transfer student's success network.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

  • Willingness to travel as required for the position.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
