Dakota State University invites applications for the position of Transfer Admissions Specialist. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills to provide exceptional support to undergraduate transfer students. As a Transfer Admissions Specialist, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through DSU's educational programs, admission and enrollment process, financial aid opportunities, and more. This position reports to the Director of Admissions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct on-campus and virtual admission visits to engage with prospective transfer students.
Represent DSU at regional transfer college fairs, fostering relationships with community colleges and institutions with articulation agreements.
Develop communication plans and leverage CRM technology to effectively manage student messaging.
Collaborate in planning and executing new student registration and orientation sessions.
Perform preliminary transfer course evaluations to ensure smooth credit transfer.
Offer expertise in the transfer of dual credit courses.
Work closely with advising staff, forming an integral part of a transfer student's success network.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Willingness to travel as required for the position.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
