Who we are looking for

State Street's Alpha Services Strategy, Transaction Lifecycle Management Service Family is looking for a Business Manager for Product and Implementations - Transaction Lifecycle Management, Managing Director for our Alpha Product Solutions Team. This qualified individual will develop and deliver product, business solutions and strategy as well as implement functionality aligned with our Alpha Transaction Lifecycle Management vision. This leader will focus on driving front, middle and back-office service innovations that support and streamline end-to-end integration, servicing and interoperability for our Alpha clients, across our Transaction Management product suite.

The successful candidate must be skilled in analyzing our complex business service flows across front, middle, and back office operating models for our Alpha Clients, with focus on post-trade execution lifecycle product and services. They will define and drive the execution of our long-term business strategy, internal business cases, solutions and all legal and committee reviews for new products and services. They will also oversee due diligence with our clients and vendors, driving the strategic solution design, business architecture, and business solutions/services, whilst driving program/project execution and reporting.

What you will be responsible for

As Alpha Transaction Lifecycle Management Product and Implementation Business Manager, you will

• Act as a Business Management, Solutions Architect, Implementation Manager and champion within the company and industry representing Transaction Lifecycle Management Middle and Back Office product and services

• Understand/drive and execute on Alpha's strategic plans, business/service architecture within Transaction Lifecycle Management domain

• Establish strong partnerships with vendor partners project sponsors and stakeholders in Operations, Technology and other product teams within the State Street and Charles River Development to influence and coordinate cross-functional business solutions and products, in support of client and business goals

• Act as liaison between sales for new deal estimates, alpha service families, client services, and technology teams to support product positioning, customer demand and prioritize opportunities as part of the Transaction Management product strategy and development

• Work with business and technology partners to establish clear connections between business goals, strategies and the data and technology investments required to achieve them

• Define and maintain the budget & product roadmap and 3-5 year vision, ensuring alignment with business transformation goals eliminating manual processing and reconciliation in support of decrease risk and unit cost

• Manage team of implementation analysts that drive Transaction Management functionality across all respective upstream and downstream to Transaction Management domains inclusive of strategic and tactical business solutions, and drive TLM Sub Services Implementations timely and effectively

• Deliver concise and meaningful presentations for internal and external audiences, including education and training of sales staff, training of support groups, and executive level presentations

• Manage ongoing product demand, prioritization, program and project management

• Ensure there is appropriate alignment between Product Demand and Implementation deliverables, by having a pulse on both those arms of the Alpha TLM Service Family

• Ensure Cost Models with Vendors are within the allocated budgets

• Demonstrate excellent process and project management skills, PMP certification is a plus

• Expertise in MS Office including MS Visio, MS/Project and PowerPoint

• Would value some experience with SQL/database query and BI tools like Tableau

• Competency in SDLC & Agile Methodology and tools (i.e. JIRA, Rally, RTC)

• Position requires exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the program objectives, inspire and motivate diverse team, and maintain alignment with the business strategy

• Experienced in driving architecture, design and delivery of transactional data and processing platform using Agile practices and processes, with a focus of establishing continuous delivery, culture and process

• Proven ability to work effectively with executive management

• Strong knowledge of existing State Street organizational constructs and stakeholders would be beneficial

• A bonus would be th strong understanding of transaction messaging protocols and format, XML, FIX, SWIFT, FPML, JSON etc.

• Domestic and/or international travel may be required

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of industry experience with front, middle, and back office integration, functionality, and electronic trading platforms (i.e. Bloomberg PORT, CRD, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Fidessa Minerva, Eze Software, BBH Infomediary etc.)

• Strong knowledge of existing State Street organizational constructs and teams required, in addition to deep understanding of middle and back office systems, functions and services supported at State Street

• Proven ability to work effectively with executive management

• Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

• Ability to influence and work collaboratively across multiple organizations to reach common goals

• Demonstrate excellent process and project management skills

• Expertise in MS Office including MS Visio, Project and PowerPoint

• Strong understanding of transaction messaging protocols and format, XML, FIX, SWIFT, FPML etc.

• SQL/database query skills a plus

• Competency in SDLC & Agile Methodology and tools (i.e. JIRA, Rally, RTC

• BS degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering

• 15+ years of industry experience with front, middle, and back office integration, functionality, and electronic trading platforms (i.e. Bloomberg PORT, CRD, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Fidessa Minerva, Eze Software, BBH Infomediary etc.)

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
