OPERATIONS

Transaction Banking Operations is part of Transaction Banking within the Platform Solutions Division. We are responsible for building, developing and supporting Goldman Sachs' Transaction Banking offering that is delivering a range of treasury and cash management products to our corporate client base. Transaction Banking Operations provide essential risk management and controls architecture to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking to recruit an individual to manage functions within Transaction Banking Servicing. The group provides support for the full Transaction Banking product offerings including Deposits, Escrow, Virtual Integrated Accounts, and Global Payments capabilities. The candidate will have prior experience managing Settlements/Payments/Client Service teams supporting Transaction or Investment Banking with a strong focus on delivering client service excellence coupled with risk management.

The ideal candidate will be integral to delivering for our clients every day while also partnering with Product, Sales, and Engineering to build out the next generation capabilities in Transaction Banking.

Our organization is the first line of defense for control and governance to protect both clients' and the firm's financial assets; and to provide a differentiated, best- in-class client service and products. Transaction Banking Operations is a growing sub-division, with regional presence in Tokyo, Singapore, Bengaluru, London, New York, Amsterdam and Dallas. All our offices work closely together as a single global team in support of our Transaction Banking business.

We manage a wide range of complex processes, with members developing skills and competencies around client service, cash management (including payment controls, bank account management, virtual account management, cash concentration, payment formatting /settlement, reconciliation and claims), transaction support (FX Payment, Escrow, Money Market and Term Deposits), regulatory requirements, industry trends and change management.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Manage functions within Transaction Banking Servicing as part of the Global Transaction Banking Operations team, delivering client service and daily Risk management including payment monitoring, queries and exception management for our Corporate Clients.

  • Be client service, Risk, control and solution orientated as we support multiple products and payment capabilities for our clients.

  • Support functions globally and help establish, develop, monitor and manage the client and Transaction Service architecture that allows us to deliver growing suite of Transaction Banking Services.

  • Understand and support payments activity for corporate clients across various rails including SWIFT, ACH, Fedwire, CHAPS and others.

  • Understand and support a range of Banking products including Deposits, Escrow, Virtual and Integrated accounts, Money Market Funds, Cash Concentration, and others.

  • Understand and support the FX Payment Flows and liquidity sourcing that are a key component in delivering our Global Payment offering to our clients. Develop and implement best practice to enable efficient movement of International Payments and the flows, payment schemes and the processes surrounding them.

  • Work with internal teams, strategic partners and clients to manage a range of queries related to payments, account management, client issue resolution, payment repairs, firm/customer funding flows.

  • Identify processes and controls improvement by leveraging constant evolving tools that can be used to build scalability without introducing new risks.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of professional and relevant experience

  • Prior experience in Banking / Settlements / Clearing / custody /Client Service or similar environment

  • Strong Interpersonal skills and Leadership skills

  • Proficient with key principles of Operations client support and risk management

  • Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal and external clients with differing levels of product experience.

  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities

  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
