HOW A TRAINING SPECIALIST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Develop advanced training solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

  • Contribute to the completion of major training programs and function in a project leadership role.

  • Collaborate with cognizant managers to identify training needs and develop training plans.

  • Develop training objectives appropriate to meet training needs and requirements.

  • Design and develop instructionally-valid training materials such as lesson plans, checklists, and other materials to support e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job training sessions.

  • Design and develop performance-based support tools and job aids for training support.

  • Ensure integrity of training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.

  • Deliver training programs that align with customer objectives, using various training methods and tools, including e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job training.

  • Advise and make improvement recommendations of the delivery of on-site and/or in-house training classes, seminars, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises and discussion groups for customers and/or employees.

  • Maintain and update training materials, including presentations, training manuals, and e-learning content.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of onboarding programs for new hires.

  • Facilitate training sessions for performance interventions.

  • Develop advanced measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.

  • Track customer training requirements.

  • Provide monthly report of individuals reaching customer training deadlines.

  • Proactively engage with cognizant managers and program resources to ensure compliance.

  • Pull new requirements for the resource manager.

  • Pull weekly resource report for transfer.

  • Coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

  • Serve as a task leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

  • Required Experience: With degree, minimum 3 years of direct experience in IC providing administrative support and services OR 6 years of direct experience.

  • Demonstrable experience developing and implementing technical skills training plans.

  • Background in instructional development and teaching/facilitation.

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and training methodologies.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems.

  • Location: Herndon, VA and additional northern VA customer sites

The likely salary range for this position is $99,450 - $134,550. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
