Reliant Medical Group is seeking a Training Specialist to join our excited and innovative organization!

Full Time: 40

Hours: Monday

  • Friday

  • Hours flexible

Conducts non-technical classroom training and provides support to the organizations employees. Re-writes and/or develops training materials for system changes or small scale projects as assigned. Assists in training new staff members as assigned.



Conducts formal, informal, and one-on-one training in the classroom and via WebEx on electronic medical record system (Epic), as well as technical and non-technical (soft-skill) courses.

Provides positive, comfortable environment for students in classroom and via WebEx.

Provides one-on-one support to users as appropriate.

Consults with senior staff for support and guidance.

Provides training support for projects and new applications.

Works with Practice Managers, Department Managers, and others to develop training plans for new hires and existing employees.

Answers Hotline calls and resolves issues following standard procedure. Maintains accurate description of call problems and their solutions for knowledge base.

Provides assistance to employees in the use of various software applications. Provides on-site support on project related issues as required.

Re-writes and/or develops training materials for system changes from small-scale projects. Creates documentation for small-scale training initiatives, such as system changes. Assists Senior Training Specialists and Training Manager, or others in revising curriculum materials.

Assists new trainers in learning departmental procedures, as well as individual class set up requirements.

Assists in maintaining training records.

Assists in the development of on-line training in the Learning Management System (LMS), such as building assessments and on-line course modules.

Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etc.

Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.

Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc.

Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.

Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

Regular, reliable and predicable attendance


Bachelor's degree in education, or related discipline and three or more years' relevant experience, including curriculum design and development. Demonstrated knowledge of presentation, training, and development skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, WebEx, etc. Knowledge of Epic (Electronic Medical Record System) is a plus.

Community Healthlink's IS department supports approximately 1,200 staff in multiple locations. The EHR Training and Integration Specialist will develop and conduct individual and group electronic health record trainings for end users (staff, clinicians and providers) in formal and informal classroom, on-the-job trainings, cross training, new employee orientation and remote trainings. Develops and conducts individual and group electronic health record trainings for end users (staff, clinicians and providers).2. Develops and participates in formal and informal classroom, on-the-job trainings, cross training, new employee orientation and remote trainings.3. Determines most effective methods for presentations.4. Develops and maintains end-user training materials including manuals, quick-reference cards, etc., as well as upgrade and enhancement documentation.5. Develops and maintains communications to end users relative to IS/EHR training services including Frequently Asked Questions, Training Schedules, etc.6. Formulates training programs and schedules, based on agency and employee needs.7. Assesses various training formats and assists in decision-making to determine appropriate training method for specific initiatives.8. Performs various administrative duties associated with employee training and development. Schedules courses, facilitates and equipment to be used in the delivery of training courses. Processes confirmations and documents attendance at training sessions.9. Conducts and analyzes training satisfaction surveys and assessments10. Produces weekly reports on training volumes and delivery of training outcomes11. Communicates with EHR System Administrator/Team Lead regarding learning outcomes and suggests improvements and edits of forms and reports based on end user feedback.12. Remains current in training and development methods, techniques and trends. Reads relevant publications and attends seminars and workshops.13. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and demonstrates the use of LEAN Six Sigma methodology in daily operations.14. Ensures compliance with Community Healthlink's policies, quality assurance programs, safety.15. Performs other job related duties as required or directed. 16.
