About the Job

The Training Specialist delivers end user training to a diverse healthcare audience for assigned IT@Lahey application(s) or project(s). The Training Specialist in conjunction with the Instructional Designer will design, development and deliver courseware and presentations that support multiple learning styles for colleagues. With the Instructional Designer the Training Specialist will develop standards, strategies and utilize technologies to instruct and educate colleagues across the organization. The Training Specialist works closely with Instructional Designers, Analysts and Subject Matter Experts on assigned project(s).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Deliver training, assessment and remediation for assigned IT@Lahey applications and programs.

  • Partner with Instructional Designers in the development, creation and management of all aspects of training material.

  • Collaborate with the Instructional Designer in the design and development of differentiated/interactive instructional (videos, elearnings, tip sheets, webinars) material to meet the needs of all end users

  • Monitor effects of training via end user shadowing/rounding. Share observations with Instructional Designer for enhancements in training techniques.

  • Support IT@Lahey colleagues and end users during project go lives (at the elbow, ATE, support) and special updates.

  • Deliver work within established timelines.

  • Manage and multitask on several assigned IT@Lahey projects.

  • Serve as expert on IT@Lahey assigned projects and transfers knowledge to other team members.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning and curriculum development in course design and evaluation strategies.

  • Base learning activity design on solid educational principles, theory and research.

  • Revise content and program delivery methods with Instructional Designers based on outcomes, learner needs, organizational goals and healthcare trends.

  • Credential in pertinent application in timeframe established by training manager.


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field. In the absence of a Bachelor's degree 5 years of healthcare, clinical, operational, information technology or training/education experience.

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

  • Current driver's license or equivalent evidence of equivalent mobility.


  • Experience with adult education, instructional design, curriculum delivery, education/teaching and/or healthcare, clinical or operational experience.

This team ensures the appropriate level of environmental review is completed to address the FCC's National Environmental Policy Act's ("NEPA") compliance requirements and the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act's ("CERCLA") due diligence considerations for wireless facility development and redevelopment. Day to day you will evaluate a range of standard and complex wireless facility projects to determine the appropriate environmental compliance documentation requirements. You will collaborate with consultants who perform field assessment services and consult with various agencies, provide technical support to Regulatory Compliance Coordinators working on standard wireless facility projects that progress to advanced environmental investigation, and play a key role in developing training for all internal project teams. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will partner cross-functionally to ensure the proper evaluation of project activity, pacing of consultant services, and compliance documentation. You will drive success with external customers by providing the highest level of environmental compliance customer support. What You Can Offer Us * Evaluate standard and complex wireless facility projects for compliance with NEPA rules and adherence to CERCLA's due diligence standards. * Order and monitor consultants' services for non-standard wireless facility projects, ensuring deliverables are on schedule and meet quality expectations. * Evaluate advanced investigation scopes, coordinating with the Director on proposals exceeding specific scope and cost thresholds. * Prepare permit applications and mitigation documentation in close coordination with expert environmental consultants. * Process advanced compliance information and documentation requests from project teams and customers. * Assist the Director with preparing responses to inquiries from governmental agencies. * Develop and deliver project-focused regulatory process and systems training for Regulatory team members and other internal departments. * Contribute to monthly team meetings focused on project review trends, environmental services trends, cross-functional training needs, and customer service best practices. * Maintain excellent working relationships with project teams and environmental consultants to move projects through the environmental process. * Other duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy, Government, Planning, or a similar field required. * Minimum 3 years' experience in an Environmental Compliance Coordinator or similar position required. * Strong knowledge of environmental regulations applicable to wireless telecommunication facilities preferred. * Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively. * Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs. * Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results. * Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
