The Training Specialist II supports an array of functions across the Bank including training materials development, instructor-led training and basic project management. The scope of work for this position includes maintenance and development support of instructor-led training, e-learning, job aids, reference materials, knowledge/skills tests, learning evaluation and tracking and assigning training on the Learning Management Software (LMS).

Design, develop and execute on learning curricula, programs, courses, ILT, and modular content with eLearning technologies including learning management systems, authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative, PowToon, etc.)

Deliver instruction on topics such as leadership development, onboarding new employees, and career development.

Serve as the backup trainer for retail classes including, CSA and CSAII.

Partner with the training manager and line of business managers to understand training needs and provide solutions.

Publish content on the corporate learning management system. Administer and maintain the entire learning management system.

Report on essential learning data including enrollments, completions and evaluations. Create, administer, analyze and report on end-user progress; recommend and integrate learning improvement strategies based on findings.

Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures.

Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Able to travel for training purposes only. Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.

Will be standing 6-8 hours per day when teaching in person class. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Occasional travel necessary to meet training needs in all regions.

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.

Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.

Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters. Able to perform basic mathematical functions in order to perform basic banking duties.

Skills and Experience Needed * 3 years of professional work experience writing extensive requirements documentation for software development. * 2-3 years of experience performing business analysis and/or process re-engineering. * Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies. * Must possess strong technical documentation and organizational skills. * Self-starter with strong self-management skills. * Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities which may change rapidly. * Passion about what you do and an obsession with staying on top of software development trends and tools. * A desire to tinker with new technologies while still getting the day job done.
