Training Specialists are dedicated to the delivery of functional training designed to further the knowledge of our Colonial Penn associates. This includes, but is not limited to, training related to the licensing, hew hire training, new system implementations, system conversions, system upgrades, new product roll outs, functional processing, procedural changes, phone skills, new legislation and regulatory/compliance information.
Deliver foundational level formal and informal learning experiences including but not limited to on-the-job training, cross-training, e-learning, and instructor led classes related to licensing, products, processes, systems, and concepts, etc.
Set-up, configure and troubleshoot basic computer lab configurations for hands on technical training
Administer technical training assessments, analyze results to determine effectiveness of training content, as well as student gap areas
Develop communication around specific learning events to prepare participants for the learning experience.
Maintain an active knowledge of the subjects taught and stimulate enthusiasm for those subjects.
Recognize various participant learning styles and utilize a wide variety of facilitation methods to best meet the needs of the audience and learning situation.
Interact with geographically dispersed staff.
Assess participants' reaction to training and the effectiveness of the learning.
Manage, maintain and report class progress to appropriate parties.
Manage learning events including supervision of participants that includes evaluation, feedback, coaching and corrective measures.

Initially Travel 25%
Bachelor's degree (preferred))
Bachelor's degree in business, education, instructional design, or related field
1 year of experience in an industry-related production environment
1-2 years training development and delivery experience
1-2 years of sales experience (preferred)
Ability to facilitate and conduct instructor-led, virtual training, and other informal training events.
Ability to clearly and concisely convey training content in a manner that engages learners and improves learning retention rates.
Ability to apply training theories and principles, including applied behavioral science, adult learning theory, and/or established industry models of evaluation.
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment; ability to collaborate to deliver an end product.
Ability to work productively on multiple projects, while meeting tight deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Stays current with the latest industry tools and trends in facilitation and adult education.
Project management skills and attention to detail yet also able to see overall picture.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into easy to understand language across multiple audiences.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software applications.
General knowledge of business principles and practices.
