Job Description:
3M is seeking a Training Specialist for the 3M Separation and Purification Sciences Division located in Maplewood, MN. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Training Specialist will develop training strategy, formalized training curriculum, and use varied methods to execute training programs for SPSD globally that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of employees. These programs will be in conformance with company and division strategies, policies and procedures. In addition, this position will be responsible for implementing the corporate learning management system for the division globally.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Implement the corporate learning management system to create, manage and record training activities

  • Develop global training strategy, process and requirements

  • Lead change management to implement standardized process globally and ensure adoption

  • Work with domestic and international partners to cascade globally as appropriate

  • Partner with other functions and leaders to determine training needs

  • Implement and conduct basic training events including but not limited to New Employee Orientation

  • Design, develop and deliver appropriate learning solutions utilizing online, face-to-face and blended learning environments

  • Establish and implement a process to monitor training effectiveness

  • Implement and maintain a documentation strategy for training content and records

  • Develop and distribute training metrics and reports

  • Stay abreast of new trends and tool in employee learning and development

  • Maintain and expand in-depth knowledge of learning management and styles

  • Participate in internal and external audits by providing training records and other requested information

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of six (6) years of combined experience in training, communications, and/or human resources in a private, public, government, or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with training methods, tools and techniques

  • Experience with adult learning principles and techniques

  • Learning system administrator experience

  • Experience training individuals as well as coaching and guiding individuals who do not report directly

  • Demonstrated project management experience with ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional project teams

  • Strong influencing, collaboration and coordination skills to work with and influence global and regional teams

  • Strong communication and active listening skills

  • Skill in compiling reports and presenting to management

  • Solid organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments

  • Detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables

  • Microsoft Office proficient

  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA QSR and medical devices

  • Participant in Customer and/or Regulatory audits (cGMP, ISO, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and interdependently

Location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

Relocation: Is not authorized

Job Summary: The person hired for the position of Global Regulatory Manager will have responsibility for leading Separation and Purification Science Division's global regulatory team including process management, compliance, business opportunity support, change management, and development of a high performing global team. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Determines regulatory strategy in alignment with Division Quality-Regulatory-Compliance Leader, SPSD Division Operating Committee (DOC), and Industrial Business Group (IBG ) Legal * Prioritizes and executes in alignment with Division Quality-Regulatory-Compliance Leader * Leads global regulatory organization including both direct and indirect reports.
