Under direct supervision from the Clinical Education Nurse Manager and/or the Clinical Education Department, provides room scheduling support to all Hospital departments, educational affiliations and hospital affiliated external clients. Exercises independent judgment; however, will work under general supervision.
Responsible for providing administrative support services such as receiving visitors and LMS data entry. Provides assistance to departments by responding to requests for scheduling meeting/conference rooms and resolving meeting/conference room scheduling conflicts. Utilizes hospital and process
knowledge to provide assistance with communications by answering, reviewing, directing, and transferring calls; taking messages; evaluating and resolving caller requests, issues, and questions; and ensuring discretion and confidentiality in communications. Responds to questions /inquiries from employees throughout the organization regarding education and training programs and activities.
Coordinates the administrative aspects of New Employee Orientation. Provides front desk coverage for administrative staff during relief/fill-in periods. Conducts special projects, as assigned. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Experience: Four (4) years of
experience to include Two (2) years of health care related and Two (2) years of Customer Service and/or Hospitality related industry experience is required. Intermediate competencies with basic computer-based programs and job related applications required.
Demonstrated collaborative and proactive ability leading others to deliver precedent setting customer service; while utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills is required. Associate's Degree in related field plus equivalent years of experience is preferred and can be considered as comparable years of relative experience. One (1) year of experience and Intermediate competencies with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), efficient organizational skills and functional knowledge of room scheduling software are preferred. Occasional weekend coverage required.
