Role & Responsibilities

As the Training Lead on our Recruiting Strategy & Operations team, you'll drive the strategic direction of the Recruiting team, while working closely with Recruiting leadership to forecast training needs and deploy training resources. You'll also train, develop and coach Program Managers, Independent Contributors and other trainers for your team. The following responsibilities can be expected:

  • Conduct needs analyses regarding talent, learning, and development

  • Proactively identify training needs and adapt to changes related to fast growth

  • Build a strategic plan for professional skill development -- such as feedback, difficult conversations, priority setting, and emotional intelligence

  • Find and partner with learning technology vendors

  • Scope new custom classes and programs

  • Manage the learning content design process

  • Host project status meetings and build project timelines

  • Facilitate classes and practice sessions for employees

  • Measure the efficacy of learning programs and communicate results to stakeholders

  • Maintain documentation and library of content

  • Manage resources and budgets for specific learning programs

  • Consult with technology teams on functional learning projects

  • Build relationships with cross functional / non-Recruiting teams within Airbnb to educate them about Recruiting and ensure training opportunities that connect Product and other teams to us

  • Ensure training team keeps content relevant, up to date, effective and efficient.

  • Leverage training surveys to analyze and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working in a project management, program management, or operations role

  • 5+ years working in recruiting, human resources, talent development, or learning and development

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Experience working with senior leadership

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Keynote

  • Experience facilitating learning through classes or workshops

  • Excellent teaming skills

  • Desire and ability to travel to other Airbnb offices

  • Strong consulting and relationship-building skills

  • A deep personal belief and commitment to diversity and belonging at work

About the Role Chime is looking for a highly capable Instructional Design and Training Specialist to deliver the best possible experience to Chime members through careful development and curation of the service team's training materials and tools. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Chime Member Service team is delivering a consistently excellent banking experience. Responsibilities * Content Creation - You will be responsible for structuring the Chime Member Services knowledge base and training materials. You will design and deliver training content at the direction of the Training Manager, based on the development of new features, policies, and future app releases. * Content Management - You will curate the current training tools administered in the Member Services agent training program. You will be responsible for implementing product changes in our agent knowledge base, agent scripting, and training modules in a timely manner. Version control will be one of your primary responsibilities. * Quality Analysis - You will work closely with the Member Services Training Manager to ensure all member-facing employees are delivering the same, consistent, high-end banking service. You will receive frequent recommendations for our team regarding call center deficiencies, knowledge gaps, and opportunities for improvement. You will also receive and act on accolades and positive recognition for our membership service team. You will ensure that we recognize top-level service that exceeds expectations. * Innovative Development - Use data collection and analysis tools to drive the iteration of training materials and identify areas for improvement. You will innovate to deliver new training tool proposals to continue raising the bar for Chime Member service. * Interdepartmental Communication - You will work closely with our Risk and Compliance teams to ensure the updated training content is in compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines. * Evolve with our Product - Be flexible and adaptable to working in an environment with evolving and changing project priorities and product features. Trust in your team is essential. * Report - You will report directly to, and work closely with, our Member Services Training Manager. As a subject matter expert on membership experience delivery, you will be expected to regularly offer your opinions, insights and thoughts. All your activities and duties will be oriented around the needs of the business. * Champion - Become a member and champion of the Chime Card, mobile app, and service standard. Requirements * Experienced - You have a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. You have 2+ years of prior experience with training material development and instructional design. You demonstrate dedication to hospitality and customer service with 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles. Bonus points for prior experience in the financial/banking industry. * Proactive - You execute fiercely and you are dedicated to making big things happen with small teams. You possess strong self-motivation, and you work continuously to improve the quality of all our projects.
