POSITION SUMMARY: The Training Integrator shall conduct training support, which is defined as activities directly or indirectly related to individual, collective, and virtual training.
Performing scenario and training development on simulations, gaming and Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS). This normally consists of individual operator sustainment training, squad level drills, staff drills, functional command post and integrated command post training events and exercises. Provides support to individual training, small group instruction and exercises. Providing support of Mission staff integration and operation, mission rehearsals; large-scale exercises for brigades and above in joint and combined environments.
The MTC also provides new soldier training because of duty reassignment and refresher/update training.
Programs of interest for functional and technical integration: Live-Virtual-Constructive-Gaming Integrating Architecture / Integrated Training and Education (LVCG-IA / ITE) Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS). Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC). Simulations C4I Interchange Module for Plans, Logistics and Exercises (SIMPLE). Joint Deployment and Logistics Model (JDLM). Night Vision Image Generator/Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (NVIG/MUSE). Fire Support Simulator (FIRESIM/EXCIS2). After Action Review System (AARS). War Fighters Simulation (WARSIM). One Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF) Army Games for Training (AGfT) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - (40%) The Collective Trainer must possess familiarity with simulation systems such as SIMPLE, JCATS, or another JLCCTC component, and knowledge of DIS/HLA networks is required for integration of the systems into the Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming Integrated Architecture (LVCG-IA). The Training Integrator may also be required to install, configure, operate and manage computer-based systems at the Subject Matter Expert (SME) level used by the JLCCTC federates for LVCG-Integrated Training Environment (LVCG-ITE). This may also include the ALOTT/LOTS, WARSIM and the IEWTPT, or other fielded simulations.
During exercises, the Training Integrator will serve as a simulation operator/mentor to the Collective Training Branch, Exercise Control (EXCON) or White Cell staff. - (10%) The Collective Trainer is responsible for tailoring the simulation models to meet customers training objectives, which may include providing in-depth advice and assistance to unit personnel before, during, and after exercises. Develop training methods and materials based on consultation with clients and user specifications. Support and assist in the preparation delivery and execution of computer based training to meet the Unit's training objectives.
Prepare all course training materials including databases, Master Scenerio Event List (MSEL) and event critique forms as required. Modify and maintain simulation training materials which accurately reflect the functionality of current simulations with relation to current US Army Doctrine and to meet unique unit training objectives for computer assisted exercises. Additionally, the Collective Trainer is responsible for setting up R-TOCs, preparing briefs, preparing required training forms and documentation, and submitting reports as required. - (15%) Duties may include Scheduling-Operating-Training (SOT) on the VBS3 as well as other computer-based systems that interface with the VBS3, with the primary focus of providing the military customer the tools needed to train units in Direct Action skills and knowledge.
The Training Integrator may serve as the interface with unit leadership in the selection of simulation models best designed to meet training objectives.
Primarily responsible for the effective delivery of instruction, by means of computer, for military role players utilizing the Virtual Battle-Space 3 (VBS3) system at the Mission Training Complex (MTC). This includes designing, modifying, developing, and executing all aspects of VBS3 scenarios, including terrain and model building, as well as scripting and modifying scenarios to support training events. This requires the Virtual Trainer to be able to use the software used for terrain and model development, which includes, but is not limited to, Oxygen2, Global Mapper, Bulldozer, PBO packer, and other software as needed.
Primarily responsible for presenting relevant mission rehearsal training to the military customer by facilitating unit training and providing unit personnel with the skills and knowledge required to effectively employ the VBS3, while also proactively assisting in identifying and addressing capability gaps in unit SOP's. Instruction must be sufficient to enable participants to operate system equipment and accomplish military functional tasks. The Virtual Trainer reports directly to the Virtual Training Team Lead. - (10%) The Training Integrator is required to maintain familiarity with the Army doctrine, organization and knowledge of Battle Rhythms, Rules Of Engagement (ROE), Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) and Military Tactics to accomplish assigned duties.
The Training Integrator may also be required to assist in the integration of the VBS3 with Mission Command information Systems training at the crawl and walk stage, which allows teams, crews, squads and platoons to rehearse and validate SOPs prior to live training. This may require the Training Integrator to have an in-depth understanding of Army mission command systems (AMCS), which may include, but is not limited to training and certifying in certain models and functional areas for battle staff training in an RTOC. - (10%) The Training Integrator will participate in the Individual Training Program as a Primary or Assistant Instructor for one or more Mission Command information Systems such as TMCWS (a.k.a. - CPoF), AFATDS, BFT-JCR, JCR-Log, or TiGR, as well as participating in relevant user and developer working groups as required.
Develop and present briefings and reports to planners to assist in the development of scenario data for practical exercises, battle staff training, and other training activities, as directed. - (10%) The Training Integrator will participate in software and hardware specification and design reviews, exercise readiness reviews, After Action Reviews (AAR), Initial Planning Reviews (IPR), systems requirement reviews, as well as relevant user and developer working groups as required.
Develop and present technical briefings and formal reports to exercise planners to assist in the development of scenario data for exercises, battle staff training, and other training activities, as directed. Demonstrate appropriate operator knowledge of the simulation models to such an extent as to be able to identify base computer and software problems and provide assistance to data base and system technicians. Provide assistance to commanders and their staff on the placement of their units in the simulation that best supports the commander's intent and in meeting the training objective. - (5%) Present military Role Play instruction on specific computer models, menu interface system and techniques for instructing computer output into useful formats.
Instruction must be sufficient to enable Role Player to operate system equipment and accomplish military functional tasks in the simulation. Assist the technical support team in building exercise data bases and translate unit MTOE into simulation data. Conduct Operational Readiness Tests (ORT) and Event Operational Tests (EOT) to verify and validate unit data bases and simulation parameters.
Participates in the execution of the Exercise Preparation and Planning guide during the life cycle (180-45 days) of a simulation training event/exercise. Perform other duties as required. External referral eligible
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in related field and 6+ years progressive experience in Training/Development, or other subject-related experience may be applied in lieu of Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interface with a wide variety of personnel. Candidate must currently possess a Secret clearance.
