The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
The individuals hired for Training & Development Consultant positions will be working with a dynamic team of professionals who are part of the Early Childhood Learning Network Division (ECLN) at the CDD. ECLN provides statewide professional development for Home Visiting programs who provide services for young children pre-natal to age five and their families.
The individuals will work independently statewide to conduct regularly scheduled on-site and virtual visits for New Mexico Home Visiting Programs. They will guide Home Visiting Programs in strategic planning and continuous quality improvement efforts, and provide targeted consultation needed to increase capacity and skill level of Home Visiting providers. They will use research-based evidence, data, and state standard requirements as a guide. They will communicate and collaborate with state level partners and will document and develop reports on consultation services provided.
The Training & Development Consultants will develop resource materials, guidance documents, podcasts, and trainings related to Home Visiting that are delivered through a variety of formats including written, in-person, use of videoconferencing, and on-line training modules using an implementation science framework for professional development.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications
Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications

BA/advanced degree in Social Work, Counseling, Early Childhood Education, or a related field with an emphasis on early childhood and working with families.
Experience, knowledge, and understanding of relationship-based work, reflective practice, reflective case consultation, and infant mental health.
Experience in strategic planning, continuous quality improvement, consultation, and working in collaboration with professional development teams and state partners.
Proficient in using technology to develop and deliver training and consultation, including developing resources, podcasts, and on-line courses.
Demonstrated level of experience with and knowledge of child development, working with families, home-visiting programs, evidence-based models, and approaches to Home Visiting.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and implementation science, and skilled in delivering in-person and virtual training and consultation for a wide range of constituencies from diverse communities.
