TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST-Equifax Workforce Solutions
The training and development specialist is responsible for instructing new employees in the concepts of unemployment compensation and the day-to-day job functions of the UIS, UIC, USC, UHC, CSR, SARC, UDS, and Full Service Representative positions within Equifax. Also included will be client retention and customer service goals, along with technological instruction in utilizing platforms to perform tasks. Some client training and advanced training of current employees will be included, along with development of new training courses. 10-20% travel may be required, based on company initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome new employees warmly and help them acclimate to Equifax; reinforce that same courteous and professional manner with advanced employees.
Instruct newly hired employees on unemployment concepts, the specifics of their particular job, UC Concepts and platforms, and any other essential skills for their role.
Evaluate trainee progress and adjust training methods to suit individual trainee needs
The trainer will need to utilize both group and one-on-one training to teach procedures, state regulations, responsive customer service, etc.
Reinforce the sense of urgency involved in handling dated materials and in organizing their work to accomplish team and departmental goals.
Serve as a general subject matter expert for all employees through training programs, answering individual questions, and Ask Claims Training.
Work closely with peers, Assistant Managers, and Directors to determine trainee needs and communicate trainee progress regularly
Attend work regularly, start and end sessions on time, and manage time effectively
Generate ideas and training classes to enhance the overall Claims Training program
Conduct client training and answer client questions specific to the courses
Effectively communicate important procedural and technology updates to UC/EWS
Leadership ability and ability to motivate others
Strong verbal and written communication skills, outstanding presentation skills with groups of all sizes
Ability to break complex concepts down so that internal and external clients can understand them
Excellent customer service skills and exceptional levels of patience
Ability to use different methods or take different approaches as required by each unique trainee
Must have the capacity to read, understand, and correctly apply state regulations and departmental standard operating procedures
Ability to work both independently and within the teams.
Excellent organizational skills and a high level of decision making skills
Ability to flourish in an environment that requires you to deal with multiple issues concurrently and change plans without a great deal of notice
Build relationships and successfully interact with clients and individuals within all levels of Equifax
Must set an example for professional behavior and adherence to policies.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
UC experience required, with ideal candidate knowledgeable on UIC, UCS, UHC, and SARC roles
Bachelor's Degree preferred; education level is negotiable in light of greater experience in the job functions for which they are training
Prior leadership, presentation, and training experience preferred
Computer Skills Required:
Proficiency in Windows based technology and the Microsoft Office suite of applications
Use of presentations aids (projectors, power point, etc)
Instructional design, graphic design, or material development skills a plus
Thorough knowledge of all Equifax unemployment applications (UC platform, CaseBuilder, SIDES, etc)
