As a Training Development specialist you will be responsible for the following:
Coordinates with a variety of training sources, to include government and nongovernment vendors, Colleges and Universities, and distance learning vendors to develop and implement training plans.
Applies qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques that frequently require modification to fit a wider range of training variables.
Consults with managers to create formal client-manager partnerships and possible client-teams inclusive of bargaining unit representatives.
Coordinates with managers/employees, academic personnel, and higher headquarters to accomplish assigned requirements and informs the staff on developing trends, situations and required actions.
Develops recommendations and/or proposed courses of action on all training programs to meet requirements.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Managing the day-to-day oversight of programs and activities related to training and exercises; Planning and executing a wide variety of organizational development initiatives; Participating in operational planning and program development to meet present and future mission requirements; Assisting in the design of training to determine training strategy for training initiatives; Developing procedural guidance for the efficient administration of training activities.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
