We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional as our Training and Development Manager located in our Melville Corporate offices! This individual will research, analyze and implement external and internal training programs throughout our store locations. This individual will collaborate with Management to ensure in order to deliver integrated training strategies to meet all of our company business needs.
Responsibilities
Research, analyze, evaluate and implement external and internal training programs
Will have responsibility for training Call Center Representatives in conjunction with the Secret Shopper call program and providing exceptional customer service
Will write scripts and edit training videos, adding to the existing video library
Work closely with the Store Manager, collaborating the timing for video shoots and ensuring that they do not interrupt operational store hours and customer flow
Identify training and development needs within the organization, through needs assessment and regular consultation with management and others
Support the onboarding process to allow for "flow" into training and development programs
Collaboration with the senior management leaders, training partners, and other HR Leaders to deliver integrated training strategies to meet business needs
Work closely with department training managers, market trainers and cross functional teams such as Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, HR as well as in-store departments and management teams for alignment and support
Ensures records of training programs (evaluation, participation, ) are maintained
Partners with the management leaders to understand the business strategy and necessary competencies for success in the Uncle G's demographic
Assesses the training needs for the various inter-departmental teams to develop a comprehensive training plan focused on primary and secondary learning opportunities
Assesses current strategies and training approaches for areas of improvement, applying external best practice to enhance Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace's long term and short term goals/plans
Provides experiential knowledge of best practices to enhance our current approach with decision makers in these areas

Requirements
BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field
5-7 years of experience working in Training and Development as a Training and Development Manager
Solid experience working in a large retail establishment is required with a strong focus in training staff on exceptional customer service
Must be flexible with work hours, reporting into stores early in the morning for video shoots
Excellent communication skills with a focus on exceptional platform presentation skills
Strong analytical skills, learning strategy and planning and project management skills
Knowledge of learning management systems preferred
Highly proactive and accountable
Exceptional management experience in training or related field
