The Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center is seeking a Training & Development Manager to join our dynamic Human Resources team.
The Training & Development Manager reports to the Director of Human Resources. This role will partner with the hotels management team to spearhead the enhancement Hyatt Regency Denver's culture and values by designing and implementing training and development programs and strategies that focus on inspiring, educating, motivating, and engaging a committed and high performing workforce. This position will execute with a "hands-on" approach to ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the property through training initiatives and regular follow up.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
TRAINING:
Research, designs, and conducts various training programs (both hotel wide and departmental), with a strong emphasis on Leadership, Management Development and Guest Service programs.
Assesses training needs at all levels of the company aligning training with organizational goals.
Works closely with department heads to ensure department training is effective and on-going.
Manages Hyatt Compliance Training program to ensure compliance and timely execution.
Facilitate learning workshops i.e., Leading Inclusively, Welcome to Regency,
Helps coordinate and facilitate new hire on-boarding process/orientation
Measures the effectiveness of departmental training programs through testing and auditing and addresses any decreases in performance.
Champion and act as a resource for the Learning Management System.
Ensure utilization of global leadership and compliance curriculum in each hotel is completed timely.
In conjunction with Senior Leadership, assists Department Heads with training initiatives and evaluates effectiveness of programs through ongoing department presence.
Based on trends in guest reporting (Hot SOS, Medallia, Secret Shops), creates focused training and action plans in order to improve scores.
Coordinates, monitors and evaluates monthly departmental trainings
Coordinates and ensures effective New Manager training program and onboarding process.
Researches and coordinates outsourced training topics if applicable.
Work directly with managers on training initiatives, acting as a support figure.
DEVELOPMENT:
Provides managers with resources to develop employees, to include but not limited to leadership training classes, continued education courses, mentoring and shadowing assignments.
Manages and oversees Talent Hub to include identifying high potential employees, developing personal development plans, and managing hotel-wide succession plan.
Holds managers accountable to updating succession plans regularly and meeting with employees on their development plans.
Drives Leadership and Colleague development through proactive meetings to discuss career growth, development goals and progress.
Meet regularly with Department Heads to develop and review Action Plans and goals.
Reviews all performance evaluations to ensure consistency with development initiatives and performance

Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Organizational Development or HR related field.
Minimum three years of experience in training and development required.
Proven success in creating development plans and organizational structure/succession plans required.
Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including colleague relations, learning, diversity, and performance management, federal and state laws
Hotel business acumen
Minimum three years hospitality management experience required.
SHRM or PHR certifications preferred
International Coaching Federation, MBTI and Caliper Certification preferred

Salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience.
