Salary Range: $18.56 to $20.00 per hour.

The Training Coordinator position is responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of training and organizational development programs. Administers a recordkeeping system to track employee training participation and progress.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inform employees on scheduled training and track progress.

  • Presenting training courses / materials, including classroom training, practical on the job training, and mentoring employees in both group and individual settings.

  • Ensure training records are accurate and up to date as required by State regulations and company policies and identifying any training gaps / deficiencies.

  • May coordinate and maintain a schedule for training presentations.

  • May assist with maintaining / filing safety records which would include safety walks, facility inspections, and other similar reports.

  • Preparing and disseminating training materials, notes, and forms.

  • Assists in compiling reports on training programs.

  • Enters data into a training database.

  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

  • Computer proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Must be able to read and write in English.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must maintain confidentiality of customer, employee, and company information.

  • Organized, detailed-oriented, thorough, and able to handle heavy workloads and deadlines.

  • Able to prioritize effectively; able to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a warehouse/distribution center setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and maneuver around pallets. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects more than 20-25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb a ladder and retrieve stock.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Normal business days are Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30pm. Work hours will be assigned in advance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma, or GED

Good collaboration skills with both internal and external customers
