DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tenneco's Sealing and Gaskets business is looking for a Training Coordinator who will be responsible for the development of the training systems to support and/or delivering training and to employees utilizing a variety of media and delivery methods. The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential to your success at Tenneco. This position will report directly to the Plant Human Resources Manager.

An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who has a Bachelor's Degree and proven professional experience training in a manufacturing environment. Excellent written, oral communication skills, and strong analytical skills. This person will become a valued member of our Human Resources team, where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Quality department in IATF audit in 2020

  • Maintains training database and all associated training records.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of line-specific training checklists, training matrixes, and supporting documentation in conjunction with supervisors.

  • Compiles data and analyzes past and current year training requirements to assist in the preparation of budgets.

  • Ensures that all employees receive OSHA and Environmental personnel training to meet applicable regulatory requirements (OSHA HAZCOM, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, etc.).

  • Trains assigned instructors and supervisory personnel in effective techniques for training such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, health and safety practices, management development, and adaptations to changes in policies, procedures, and technologies.

  • Manages all production trainers and ensures all documentation, tasks and training needs are met.

  • Screens, tests, counsels, and recommends employees for participation in internal or external educational and training programs.

  • Assists the Human Resources Manager with the compliance of all employees with the following: training policies, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems or changes in products, procedures or services.

  • Coordinates established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by community schools and other outside sources.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree preferred or 3 years of relevant experience.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience training in a high paced manufacturing environment.

  • Experience assisting in a quality audit.

  • Experience with creating and developing training systems.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Automotive production experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Extensive Project management skills needed.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications at an intermediate skill level or stronger.

  • Experience with an IATF audit preferred.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's or 2-year college degree preferred.
