Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training and safety programs to ensure compliance with industry regulations and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Implement our current training plan and identify training needs within the business and coordinate with department leaders to accomplish effective training.
Conduct assessments to identify training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs.
Become familiar with Seyer Industries learning management system (LMS) and maintain all training records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Design and implement effective training programs.
Ensures employees receive training in a timely manner and comply with retraining requirements.
Primary trainer for forklift, overhead crane, new employee safety training, and others as needed.
Embodies Seyer Industries Core Values (Flexibility, Accountability, Collaboration, Positivity, Work Ethic, and Integrity).
Promote a culture of safety through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
Active member on the Safety Committee and take action with the committee and various departments to implement the committee's recommended changes
Assist in investigating accidents and incidents, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Take part in a monthly 6S audit to proactively identify safety concerns and take action to promptly resolve.
Manage Seyer's Safety Sheet Database
Transfer all existing training into UKG's Learning Management System (LMS)
Create and manage career development plans for specified employees
Training, Skills, Knowledge, and/or Experience:
OSHA 30 (preferred)
5 years of manufacturing experience
History of coaching, teaching, or training
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with training management systems(P).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Consistent and dependable attendance.
