San Bernardino County is recruiting for Training and Development Specialists who will plan, coordinate, assess and deliver a wide variety of training programs. Training and Development Specialists provide advanced level educational, facilitation, and staff development services including the delivery of college-accredited courses. A Vacancy currently exists in the Performance, Education, and Resource Centers (PERC). The resulting eligible list may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background Investigation: Applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, credit check, and/or medical exam, prior to appointment.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. Employees will be required to make provisions for transportation. Mileage reimbursement is available. A valid California Class C driver license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained throughout employment.
Education: Master's degree or higher-level graduate degree.
Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience (within the last five (5) years) as a professional trainer or educator of adult learners.
The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of professional level experience developing curriculum and conducting in-person and e-Learning trainings. The ideal candidate will also have strong project management skills and formal experience presenting to managerial and/or executive staff.
The selection process will consist of a competitive evaluation of qualifications based upon a review of the Application and/or Resume and the Supplemental Questionnaire. The most highly qualified candidates as determined by the competitive evaluation may be referred for a selection interview.
