This positiion may be use to fill multiple vacancies.

This position helps Revenue to carry out its mission, goals, and commitment to foster a productive, innovative, and healthy work environment by providing learning and development services for employee growth and development.

Key Job Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and deliver effective learning and development opportunities for all Revenue employees

  • Assess learning needs and customize learning solutions tailored for individual teams within Revenue

  • Coordinate learning certifications and activities, which includes administering Revenue's professional accounting certification in NASBA, CPE programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Facilitate the communication and collaboration within Revenue's training community

  • Assist in marketing Employee Development Services (EDS)-sponsored learning opportunties

  • Support daily EDS functions, such as responding to employee requests and questions that are related, but not limited to, ELM (the State's learning management system), room reservations, and training requests.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

At least 2 years of full-time equivalent advanced paraprofessional experience in training and development experience in designing custom content requiring thorough needs assessment, establishing learning objectives, determining delivery methods, developing content, testing and delivering products, and evaluating effectiveness.(Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Development, Organizational Development, Education, Communications or related field will count as 1 year of experience)

Experience designing, facilitating, and conducting training sessions so that learners are engaged and learning objectives are achieved

Experience assessing training needs and creating customized training solutions

Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effectiveness

Experience developing training manuals, guides, or course materials

Experience with administering learning management systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience designing, developing, and delivering interpersonal training topics and programs for all staff

Experience administering Enterprise Learning Management (ELM), the State's learning management system

Knowledge of administering Revenue's professional accounting certification in NASBA

Physical Requirements

Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes and laptop computers, and moving training room equipment such as tables, chairs, easels, and movable walls.

The level at which the position will be filled will be determined based on the successful candidates qualifications. This position is located in the Food, Pools and Lodging Services (FPLS) of the Environmental Health Division. This position will administer and monitor the state program activities for the Food, Pools and Lodging Services section. With the assistance from staff and supervisor, the position manages a caseload of licensed establishments by monitoring compliance with applicable rule and statute, and communicating survey results to resolve compliance deviations as businesses to protect public health. This position also conducts inspections, collects and analyzes data, and writes summary reports. Responsibilities include: * Manage a caseload of retail food establishments, public pools, lodging facilities, manufactured home parks, recreational camping areas, and youth camps in an assigned area of the FPLS program. * Review and analyze data and observations from evaluations of the licensed establishments to prepare reports, including documentation of violations and the required changes and action needed to obtain compliance. * Advise clients regarding deficiencies observed during the evaluation and requirements of the program to assist with gaining compliance. * Investigate all potential foodborne and waterborne illnesses and other public health complaints involving regulated facilities and other emergency situations as directed, so that the public's health is protected and applicable laws and rules are in compliance. * Provide training and disseminating information to local government agencies, licensed facility operators and the public so that the public is better informed regarding legal requirements and disease prevention. * Maintain records of activities, inspections and reports so that accurate information is available. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Public Health Sanitarian 1: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Sanitary Science, Sanitary Engineering or related environmental health field. Thorough knowledge of the principles of public health involved in the transmission of disease, water supply sanitation, sewage treatment, laws and regulations governing sanitary conditions and practices, swimming pools, and of what constitutes legal evidence. Establish effective working relationships with business owners and the general public. Experience gathering and interpreting data and information and skill in preparing letters, documents and reports. Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of government officials. Ability to gather facts by personal contacts and oberservation. Ability to make clear and concise reports.
