Serves as the TSC Branch representative, resident within Training and Education Command (TECOM) Range and Training Programs Division (RTPD), provide on-site support for the Branch Supervisor, and liaison/coordination for the TSC Branch and subsidiary sites with TECOM and subordinate and peer entities. TA will have familiarity with training doctrine policy, unit readiness planning and training management systems. TA understands and supports Training and Education Command training efforts, strategy, processes, and management tools provided by TECOM and effectively coordinate with subordinate sites.

DUTIES:

General

  • Remain cognizant of contemporary training doctrine, policy, and methods, and training management systems.

  • Develop and draft concepts for training doctrine, training strategies and training standard operating procedures. Responsible for management and maintenance of TSC policy and procedures, and facilitation of Working Groups/Integrated Product Teams as established.

  • Provide analysis, prepare, and present briefings on behalf of TSC Branch for government review and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) acceptance, addressing requests for information.

  • Adhere to the TECOM TSC Branch Order, and TSC Branch Standard Operating Procedures and Administrative Desktop Procedures.

  • Serve as SharePoint "helpdesk", responding to questions, and resolving issues related to the use of the TECOM Virtual Collaborative Environment (VCE)

  • Support to TECOM/RTPD, as required. Facilitate the TSC Standard Operating Procedures and the TSC Administrative Desktop Procedures.

Supplemental Duties:

  • Participate in periodic meetings, as required.

  • Attend United States Marine Corps service level working groups, conferences, site visits, and meetings related to Force Generation and Service Training, or as directed by the TSC Branch Supervisor.

  • Prepare briefings and coordinate with TECOM and applicable supporting establishment staff as directed by the TSC Branch Supervisor.

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

  • Supervises and mentors the Logistics and Training Analyst, and Site Managers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Education/Experience/Qualification:

  • Associates, or better 10+ years, Marine Corps, Company or Battalion level operations/training experience. Current operational experience - (i.e., Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom, Marine Expeditionary Unit / Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF)).

  • Understands the MAGTF concept for training Major Subordinate Commands.

  • Understands Systems Approach to Training.

  • Proven experience communicating and coordinating with Battalion (+) level leadership and supporting establishment staff(s).

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the mission and function of the TSC.

Additional Skills:

  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) Adobe and other media type software.

  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures with-in a particular field specifically related to supported Military Occupational Specialties.

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible.

  • Proven experience in successfully managing projects.

  • Confidential data and information management experience required.

  • Strong familiarity with government regulations and directives pertaining to confidentiality, document retention, and project site protocols.

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints.

Location: TECOM, Quantico, Virginia

Work Environment: Office Environment

Physical Demands: Work is generally sedentary; there could be a requirement to assist in moving and repositioning computer systems, servers, and other office equipment weighing no more than 50 pounds per person (e.g. two-man lift lOO lbs.). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project. Flexibility in scheduling work hours and available for occasional travel.

License and Other Requirements: Possession of a valid driver's license and availability of private transportation may be required for some positions in this job class (mileage expense allowance provided).

Security Clearance: Shall possess a valid Secret security clearance; TS/SCI preferred.

Travel: Some travel may be required for this position.
