ON Semiconductor is seeking acreative and driven instructional designer/trainer to join our Global Learningand Development team, located in Phoenix, Arizona. As a global L&Dinstructional designer/trainer, you will play a major role in creating,maintaining, and delivering learning programs that contribute to the overallsuccess of our manager training program.

Performance Objectives:

  • Produce high quality training deliverables such as curriculum development, eLearning, presentations and communication

  • Apply instructional design theories, practice, and methods to program development

  • Work with subject matter experts to prepare materials and content that adhere to L&D standards

  • Continually review course content to ensure accuracy and incorporate feedback into subsequent versions

  • Apply modern facilitation skills to inspire and engage an audience of diverse individuals with varying backgrounds and learning styles

  • Utilize webinar-based learning platforms to deliver high quality training to participants around the world

  • Apply blended learning theory to the development of manager training program courseware

  • Experience with curriculum development, deployment, and delivery of manager training programs.

  • Experience facilitating learning programs for managers, both virtually and in-person

  • Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models

  • Solid knowledge of course development software and authoring tools (Articulate Storyline 3/360, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)

  • Experience training via webinar platforms (Webex, Zoom, etc.)

  • Visual design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)

  • Ability to storyboard and write instructional design text, audio/video scripts, and effective copy

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including online communication and speaking and presenting to groups.

  • Strong team work and collaboration skills in a diverse team environment

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, including managing multiple and varied training programs

  • BS in instructional design, adult learning, communications, or related field

  • A minimum of 2-5 years' of related experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office application is required

  • Experience working in a global business environment preferred

  • Role requires 35-40% travel

Responsibilities * Intakes and responds to requests for interactive content by collaborating with curriculum development staff, program managers, and multimedia production teams and developing projects. Manages activities of projects to ensure they progress on schedule and are completed by established deadlines. * Evaluates materials to ensure conformance with established University policies, practices, and standards as well as instructional alignment and appropriate styles, standards, and specifications to achieve established program outcomes. * Uses multiple measures of student learning outcomes to formulate recommendations to improve courses or programs through multimedia or educational technology. Presents research findings and recommendations to academic stakeholder groups as needed or requested. * Maintains a thorough knowledge of University product lines, policies, practices, standards, and philosophy. * Maintains a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and pursuing related professional development opportunities. * Performs other duties as assigned or apparent. Qualifications Basic Requirements: * Bachelor's degree required. * Minimum of 2 years of experience designing instructional multimedia as an instructional designer. Additional Qualifications: * Master's degree or higher in disciplines related to instructional design or educational technology preferred. * Experience designing rich learning interactions composed of voice-over, live-action video, screen capture, graphics, and other media or elements that respond to user input according to the principles of multimedia. * Must be results oriented and able to organize and independently manage various projects simultaneously. * Must possess an understanding of multimedia principles, instructional design principles, and experience with course design, development, implementation, and evaluation. * Must have experience writing/editing and developing instructional materials and interactive multimedia, e.g. eLearning, curriculum design, instructional design. * Must have experience aligning student learning outcomes with curriculum, course content, materials, and evaluation. * Experience working with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to develop curriculum is preferred. * Experience creating assessments to support student learning outcomes preferred. * Must possess the ability to effectively facilitate meetings. * Must have proven experience performing project management activities. * Must be able to demonstrate a sufficient level of analytical and strategic thinking to plan and manage designated projects to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget, as described above. * Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. * Must possess the ability to analyze data and present recommendations to guide the creation or adoption of effective multimedia for course content or academic programs. * Must have a working knowledge of personal software packages to perform eLearning creation, word processing, and spreadsheet generation.
