Technical Trainer Full-Time New York State (must reside in New York State) Do you have knowledge in electric vehicle and/or fuel technology with a background in research or education? Leonard Bus Sales is currently looking for a Technical Trainer to provide external training to our customers and internally to our employees on the latest technology.
This is a remote position with extensive travel throughout New York. Provides hands-on technical training internally and externally as required.
Provides required CDL Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) to LBS employees as required. Educates people both internally and externally on fuel options, school bus connectivity/technology and all related information. Assists in establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with existing and prospective customers to generate new business for Leonard Bus Sales.
Minimum Requirements of the Technical Trainer are: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and ability. Minimum of three (3) years of relative experience.
Computer proficiency in web-based programs and applications, Microsoft Office Suite applications, to include researching and looking up information. A minimum of 1 of the following 3 requirements must be already met at time of hire. Qualified to perform CDL – Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) – OR – the ability to obtain said qualification within two year(s) of employment.
Must be maintained throughout employment Highest level of certification available through company represented vehicle and engine manufacturers – OR – the ability to obtain said certifications within one year of employment.
Must be maintained throughout employment Valid Commercial Driver’s License (with the proper endorsements) for New York State or for the state of residence, which must be maintained throughout employment – OR – ability to obtain said license per written company policy.
