This position is for a Trainer supporting the Optum Shared Services Transactions organization, including the Claims Operations, Payment Integrity, and Advanced Analytics Labs business units. Chief responsibilities of this position will be to deliver the training curriculum needed to support the business units serviced. The person will deliver process, procedure and systems training for multiple claim platforms and ancillary systems associated with Optum or its clients through the UHG cultural / values lens. May also deliver soft skills training.

The candidate will work closely with the Operational Teams to identify training opportunities and implement strategies to conduct that training and make the staff more efficient. Additionally, they will network across other areas of Optum Shared Services - Transactions Training to broaden their knowledge base and expand the training offering.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct training for newly hired operational team members on core systems, processes, and applications

  • Provide training on culture and values aligned with Our United Culture

  • Deliver training using multiple mediums classroom, webinar, blended learning approaches

  • Deliver continuing education, up skill, and performance improvement training as necessary

  • Provide feedback on trainee performance in the classroom to Operational Leaders

  • Participate in the instructional design and development process as necessary for large scale curriculum design projects

  • Provide feedback to trainees and Operations Managers regarding class progress, areas of strength and areas of improvement

  • May enroll and grant credit in Learning Management System for courses administered

  • Maintain expertise as needed in functional areas supported

  • Plan, prepare and teachback new material prior to class start (side by sides, self-study, and live practice)

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience OR high school diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant work experience in business management, training or other field of study that supports job role

  • Experience working in Revenue Cycle Management, Patient Access, and/or Patient Registration

  • Experience delivering training in a business operations, corporate, or sales environment

  • Experience delivering presentations to multiple levels of employee and leadership

  • Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Experience utilizing adult learning principles to deliver training in a corporate environment

  • Effectively manages learning across multiple platforms / processes

  • Travel up to 70%

Position Profile The Oncology Account Manager is responsible for direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals' products, and the development and management of business relationships with therapeutic specialists within an assigned geographical territory. The Oncology Account Manager (OAM) is an integral part of the commercial team that includes all personnel dedicated to the sales and marketing functions. The Oncology Account Manager will implement Jazz Pharmaceuticals' marketing strategies and marketing tactics to achieve short-term and long-term objectives. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The Oncology Account Manager will: * Be responsible for the effective promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals Adult Oncology products to physicians and other health care providers within the designated area. * Targeted customers may be in both Community Oncology as well as Academic Centers. * Current disease areas of focus are Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) * Educate physicians and other health care professionals about Jazz Pharmaceuticals product(s), providing the most current information about the approved indications for the company's products * Achieve sales forecasts and targets * Participate in organizing and facilitating meetings for the exchange of medical and product information in line with the company's policies, regulatory and legal requirements * Represent company at trade shows, attend company meetings, training programs and functions as needed * Analyze the OAM's designated territory to understand prescribing and purchasing decision processes and any marked differences from national trends * Work closely with Technical Staff to maintain referral base and to increase product revenue * Recognize changes in the work environment develop and implement alternate plans to achieve objectives, modify call plan/business plan activities accordingly * Identify key physicians, health care providers and organizations within assigned territory * Prepare a business plan and area tactical plan for the OAM's assigned territory * Implement approved plans within established time lines * Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other health care professionals identified in business plans * Support company sales strategy and contribute in fostering a team environment * Present a positive and professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and ensure activities are consistent with and enhance the company's ethical pharmaceutical marketing policies and procedures * Special projects as assigned * Comply with all legal/regulatory guidelines of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, the Prescription Drug Marketing Act, the Pharma Code, OIG guidelines, and all other applicable federal and state regulations * Perform all activities within allocated budget Required Experience * Four year college/university degree or equivalent experience * 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience with 2 of these being in Oncology or 3 years of straight Oncology sales Strong knowledge of product(s); competitor product(s); and applicable disease states desired * Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, and strong planning and organizational skills * Self-motivation and ability to excel in a team environment * Ability to travel to meet territorial requirements Preferred Experience * Post-graduate business school study, training * Hematology and/or Solid tumor sales experience * Experience with AML or Lung Cancer highly preferred * Community Oncology practice experience * Key Account knowledge is strongly preferred Description of Physical Demands * Frequent travel between meeting sites. * Frequently operating a computer, printer, telephone and other similar office machinery. * Description of Work Environment * Frequent interactions with external contacts in their office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations and temperature changes. * Frequent computer laptop or tablet use, not usually at a workstation. * Responsibilities may require a work schedule that may include working outside of "normal" work hours, in order to meet business demands. * Frequent public contact requiring appropriate business apparel.
